Ms. Linda.... I really don't think you know how special you are to me. I'm up this morning answering messages and I will try to answer each and every one with more than just a thank you. lol... That's really me, that's who I am. I just got back for dropping the family off at the airport as they will be in Europe for the next 2 weeks celebrating my wife's grandmother's 98 birthday. I have so much to be thankful for and that would include meeting you on what I call "roads less traveled". That corner that you unexpectedly and discover that something you would have missed had you stayed on your original path. That "good something" that was intended for you yet you never knew existed until it did. Gardening is my good something and powers far greater than I knew what was needed to compass me through this chapter of my life. Never underestimate the power of kindness. So much around us is just the opposite and it can have us questioning purpose. Your kinds words made a difference at a time when I asked for direction. "Roads Less Traveled". Here, in the garden was not my plan but just maybe, it is the beginning of my purpose. I don't know just what that is but I do know that I am finding comfort in the garden and it's allowing me to "Grow Out Of My Box" His words came through you when I was listening. Have a beautiful and productive day Ms. Linda Keith
Keith, I'm so full right now, I Saw something Amazing in you, And I Called your Name a lot on my channel, Because I wanted everyone at the sound of my voice to See and Feel, What I was Feeling, As The People Came YOU Began to Share what was inside of You, And The Love of Gardening, Our Father Don't Make Mistakes, We Were Destin to Meet Here, It was Already written, I'm SUPER PROUD Of you, I'm Always here for You, But You Are Helping So Many people To Grow Food And Have A healthier Body, Sending Big Hugs and Prayers to you and your Family, And To your son, He Helped me through a tough day, I Forgot about what I was going through, And I was on that mountain with him. I Thank him, I Thank you, Enjoy your Weekend 💜
Watching your videos I would never know this is just your 3rd year gardening. You make it look so easy. This has taken my temperature down. Sooooooo relaxing. TFS.
Hey Sammie. Thank you for the visit. Yes, this is my peace of mind and oftentimes where I spend the majority of my days. It really does free the mind and spirit.
Beautiful harvest. I have myself second round of peas up and going. Zippers, butter peas, red ripper, black eyes, and more purple hulls. Okra and egg plant are kicking. Keep on, keeping on!!
I heard they taste the same…. Nope! They have a different texture. Better in my opinion than my marketmore 76…. I will definitely be growing these again.
Hey there friend. The garden is doing very well thank you. I had deer visit 3 days straight which pretty much was a 70% restart so my whole series of videos on microclimates is kinda on hold until the garden recovers. But hey, I finally got my invisible fence up. Now I'm waiting for those suckers to come back so I can record the reaction with my deer cams. Have to keep it moving even with the up and dawns right.
Thanks my brother. Ah, I harvested my elephant garlic 🧄 yesterday…. Oh boy ! Softballs! Headed to the store now to pick up a baseball and softball for the video.
Start by saying love the name…. Thanks. This side of the garden is still under construction. Make sure you click the notification 🔔. Adding new features every week.
Beautiful squash. 👏 I recently harvested my first one of the season. Those blueberries look plump and juicy. Nice broccoli florets! Yes peas! Great looking berries! I have been snacking on those babies all week long. Those golden raspberries are delish! My cucumbers are growing so slowly this year. We’re not getting that heat we usually get this time of the year. Great job!
Hey Nikki. Glad you stopped by. You have a unique style of content and I want to challenge you on creating what I believe would be one of your best shorts. I’m seeing some things happening on my channel and I would like to share it with other deserving creators like yourself. Just try it?…. Your milk jug green house. Something like that. Make a short explaining what and why you are doing it. Then write out what you are saying in your description. Google the highest ranking title that best describes the short and load it down with relevant phrases that you think people will search for if they were trying to find something like your milk jug idea. I know it’s not new to a lot of people in the garden community but it may be what some new gardeners are looking for. Even if you have an older short that explains or answers a question…. Add a different thumbnail with this same search principle I mentioned above in mind. Keep the title simple and easy to read. You put a lot of work into your videos and it will pay off with consistency. I laugh when I hear people say the editing doesn’t matter. I’m seeing this work in real time on my channel. Google will push your short if it answers a frequently asked question. It’s not guaranteed but it will increase your chances of exposure where most creators aren’t looking. On a lot of my shorts Google is where most my external search results are coming from in analytics. Pay attention to your analytics. It will tell you everything you need to know about your channel’s movements. Scroll through my shorts and check out the views. There is a new feature called swipe away. It will help you see how viewers are receiving your first expression.
@@growingoutthebox Wow! You are in my head. This is very helpful information and it also confirms some things that I have been mulling over lately. I appreciate you and thanks for sharing your research and thoughts with me. This YT thang ain't easy. LOL. I accept the challenge and will definitely be working on some things. I'll be in touch. Thanks!
Never apologize for soiled hands. It's the sign of a true and hard working gardener! I'd be disappointed if your hands were spotless LOL!!! I love your garden and your spirt!!
Man, I don't know what it is, but your garden, watching your harvest, got my blood pumping! It's still young, just getting established... When you get a couple years growth on those blueberries you will be drowning in berries! Ha, I'm so excited for you! Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden, subscribed for sure! As a neighbor of sorts in Tennessee (how I envy your heat zone) struggling with Japanese beetles, I'm going to try those zipper bags next year.
I was having a terrible time with the Japanese beetles last year. This year not so much. I believe it is because I have been solarizing the raised beds by rotation. Vine borers haven’t hit yet 🤞. I believe it is solarizing the soil and heavy mulching. Thanks for hanging out with me and I hope to see you around.
Much appreciated Planter. I hope to have the video up maybe next week of my doing similar to you with the logs. However tall is my raised bed is how deep I dig out the soil. I fill with logs and put the dirt into the raised bed mixing it with my compost and alfalfa pellets. Fill a raised bed for free using native soil. I call it rotating the earth.
Hey Ms T…. I see you are really enjoying this gardening. Best decision I have made in some time. I just dropped 3 different broccoli seeds this week. Time to get them in the dirt so they will be established by the time we get that first frost. I think you would enjoy the purple sprouting broccoli because it’s pretty and green magic because of the large heads. You would do well. Thanks for commenting.
If I’m correct you are referring to the brown planter in the heart bed. Everything there my wife purchased and is why I put them all together. What grow zone are you in?
I started off making some smaller one until I found them on Amazon. Fruit Tree Netting Large Fruit Tree Covers with Zipper to Protect Fruit from Squirrels and Birds Netting for Fruit Trees Fruit Tree Net Protection 71" x 75", 1 Pack amzn.to/3oFKSNB
Man I just want to say THANK YOU !!! You've taught me so much about gardening your such a good teacher and I bet you could grow some good Bud 😉. (Its legal in my city) wish it was in yours? I need some education on the rooting aspect of growing 😩. But great video's!! Please keep making more!!
I really enjoy your videos,, it's lovely seeing you harvest!! Which garden snips/ shears are you using? I am growing zucchini and using scissors to snip and they are not strong enough for the zucchini stems. Thank you!
The set is the Olmsted Forge. Before I recommend them I would like to have them for at least a year but that is what I am using right now. It took me a while to answer because I was out and about all day. Thanks for asking.
Every time I have grown squash or zucchini it blooms with no fruit any help???? By the way my snaps are thriving should expect my first pod next couple days😊
You have me smiling about those snap peas. On the squash you may have to hand pollinate. lol. When you see the flowers start to form you need to be out side before the crack of dawn when she opens up. I use a fine paintbrush with a long pointy tip. Let me know how that goes.
@@RonnieT901 Looks like you are about to be a Daddy! lol. Yeah. Take the brush and just dab it around on the flower with the long stem and then the flower with the fruit. Don't force the female flower open. 🤣 They have a charge for that. You just have to wait till she's ready.
lol. I am assuming that was meant to be a joke because I answer every single question. I check youtube studio several times daily to make sure I miss no one. I also respond with complete answers not just a thank you. Well, "99% of the time" lol. You have to click on reply under the original comment to see my response. Always willing to help and thank you for taking time from your day to visit little ole' me. I just saw your blueberry problem with the birds all you have to do is cut pie plates into four and take 2 pieces and put them back-to-back they'll make clanging noises and they don't like the shiny plate and they will stay off your trees and bushes Just hang those pipeplates in your trees and the birds will stay away
I did something similar with the reflective plastic. It didn’t work for me. The plug is even the Japanese beetles are not attacking the blueberries and grapes with this netting. For me it is very well worth it. Thanks for sharing your tips.
I just found you on the shorts. I love your video style & info. What state are you growing in? Introduce yourself to Chestnut Hill Farmstead. They just helped The Brown Farm get to 10,000 subs. Good luck to you. Can’t wait to see more videos
