I hope you managed to get a ton of ideas/inspo from the video! Also, a massive thank you to the designers who took part in the video, almost all of them pushed themselves out of their comfort zone, were really nervous but still did a bit on camera. All of their details can be found in the description box ❤
I couldn't believe it. I actually thought when I first met him, I may have been a bit too passionate when we were chatting 🙈 But it turns out he was impressed! Now I have to work even harder to make him proud! 💪🏾 Thank you soo much for watching! ❤
Thank you so much for sharing. They take so long to plan, film, edit and produce. But I'm so glad you are enjoying them. It makes it all worthwhile when in reality I was a few seconds away from throwing the laptop against the wall 🤣🤣 Thank you! ❤️
Early viewers.. Its a massive video & RU-vid seems to still be compressing/processing the video so you may want to pop back & watch in an hour or two 😢
Thank you soo much! ❤ I'm really glad you enjoyed it! The show has got a tough job of trying to show everything.. I can go into a bit more details with a few specific gardens featuring elements you guys vote for in the polls.. so it's more specific for you :)
That was lovely to watch. I will come back to it because there are so many good ideas. I just realized what one corner of my garden was missing and will trsnsplant a purple salvia there as soon as this heat dome moves on. It felt like 39° today, and that's way too hot for me. Planting in rows! I hate the concept but do some tomatoes that way. The rest is all mashed together, depending on water needs. I planted onions for the first time, in my mixed border. Because, why not?! Loved all the interviews! And Adam Frost! Congratulations 👏
Really interesting conversations with the garden designers as always, Jason. I enjoyed the mall spaces in particular as they can bring out such ingenuity and creativity, and are of such relevance to your own mission.
Jason that was fabulous, so inspiring. As for Adam saying the Torch is being passed on I would say you picked up that Torch yourself and have been galloping along with it for some time now! I loved all the edible gardens and the water features. Its so lovely to see the designers and learn about how thoughtful they are and the ideas behind the gardens. Thank you.
I feel like my flower show episodes are really evolving and becoming their own thing and I think there's something so cool about the host & audience learning together, whilst the designers also get to share their insights into their creativity. Adam was so gratitious with his time. Hopefully, we'll be able to put our heads together and come up with some green solutions for our towns & cities ❤️
Jason - what a delight to see you as interviewer! I’ll never forget the time I first saw you with your amazing balcony garden - I loved it! I wish you well dear sir, what a delight! Liz from South Africa.
Really enjoyed your style of interviewing and sharing gardens. The moon phases were an awesome addition. I have a triple moon goddess planted with box hedging and a hebe. )O(
Thank you for all the information and beautiful gardens. So many ideas. They all had so much to offer. I loved the water retention garden and the one with the corner beds. So awesome and really great ideas! Have a blessed weekend.
I am soo soo glad that you felt the video was informative. They are all beautiful to look at and the added dimensions from the designer gives so much food for thought. I am still in awe at Joshua's Water retention garden.. he has invited me to check out the narrow boat and to see his showgarden when it's relocated to it's new home! :)
I loved this video. Australia in Winter here. I really loved the long interviews with the designers and the longer shots of the gardens. I am absolutely dying for Spring as I have so many new ideas for plant combinations.
I am soooo glad you enjoyed the longer interview style! They are super shy at the start but by the end their passion always comes through and we learn so much! Will you be taking any of these tips to use in your garden for Spring?
Most people, me included are plants people and we love to put ALL our favourite plants in the space but it takes a lot of discipline to keep the plant choice and colour palette really tight. Repeating or at least colour echoing creates more cohesion rather than the mess of plants that it ends up looking like in my case! I need more eryngium and purple salvia in my life, combined with soft yellows interspersed!
Thoroughly enjoyed this Jason, thanks for all the work you do, you are wonderful presenter, I agree with Adam Frost you are the next generation! It was interesting to hear about the client briefs, I would love to hear more about the behind the scenes of applying and preparing for a show garden!
I wouldn't know where to start with these designs ....the designers have done a fabulous job ❤. That said I am feeling inspired now I've seen what's achievable in such small spaces !
This is a great idea ! ...I do have quite a few pots / containers ...one thing that I've noticed is that fruit bearing shrubs such as currants, blueberries and gooseberries seem to do well for say the 1st 2nd year and then pretty much nothing ....I think some advice about how to refresh these plants , keep them healthy and how tp either re pot or trim roots back as necessary would be interesting? What do you think ? ❤
