Great video Dave. Can see the logic in having both hands on the pole but gonna stick with the univalve. Not sure I could live without a swivel ever again. 😂😂. Would be too much of a sacrifice to make. I was secretly hoping the rinse bar review would come out 1st he he. 😂👍
Fantastic review Dave , however I used the aquatap years ago which is the same thing via twisting the pole but over 35/40 ft I found the aquatap very hard to turn/on/off , until I mastered it , one more disadvantage by turning the pole left/right this put a lot of stress on the pole clamps making wear out a lot n spinning issues .
The General thank for asking. I actually looked at it a couple of days ago and thought I ought to get that done. Had so much going on with family things it’s got pushed to the back burner a bit. I will try and do it over the next couple of weeks
@@squeakycleandave1 All good mate, I saw your other reviews keep coming and thought you'd been told by Gardiner not to do it 🤣. Look forward to it mate.
Hi dave just wondering if you had used the quick loq long arm adapter. Struggling to get my head around how to fit univalve to it as with the old quick loq the one you get free I used hose stopper at the top to stop unvalve tugging through etc. With this one it has a barb at the bottom what's the best way to fit the univalve I.e. pole hose runs the univalve but then what hose to the barb? As it mentions using push fit etc but will this be strong enough to withstand the pull on the univalve.. any photos or videos be massive help sorry for the long winded message. Regards Ed
Hi Edward. Not quite sure if im getting what you are saying right or not. Are you worried about the hose pulling out of the push fit connector. if thats the case it shouldn't be a problem as Exceed sell them with a push fit. if I got the wrong end of the stick give me a ring and I will try and sort it for you. 07956222348 uni-valve-interchangeable
Seems good but how do you turn it off after a rinse with the brush not on the glass? Or are you relying on the rinse bar make it possible to rinse without taking the brush off the glass? Thanks for the vid
Dom Evans that’s a good point I meant to bring out. I found it best to turn it off pushed against the bottom of the frame but there is always a chance of any bits on the brush transferring onto the glass
Ah yes that makes sense. Not that I have tried it but I can see myself in a loop of turning it off on the frame, worrying I’ve splashed bits, then re-rinsing and back round again 😂 I wonder if you could use both this product and the univalve to get the benefits of both. But maybe that’s overkill.
Going against the all other opinions it seems but I love mine wouldn’t be without it and I’ve used uni valve before. Agree the clamps a little fiddly tho
Michael Carbon I think that’s the thing about modern window cleaning equipment. There’s no right or wrong. It’s just finding out what’s best for you. 👍
The thing with Gardiners they build things to only last about 6 months max! You need to have 3 spares of everything of there’s because they always break or you can’t tighten it up any more
Good vid, thanks. Quick loc valve isn’t for me. Had the first variant and this seems no better. I work with a swivel. Finding that sweet spot where it stresses the pole sections if its to tight and turns the water off when working at an angle. This equipment just further complicates the job. Alex missed the boat with the launch of the univalve I’m sure it won’t be available for long
I brought one of these with my new Extreme and I have to say I'm not at all impressed with it. I find it turns itself off when I wash to the left sometimes so I'm going to order a standard lok and another univalve.
Mel Hathaway Hi Mel. Sorry you’re not happy with it. I found with the swivel on it it turned itself off but I never had any problem with the fixed head. There is so much choice these days with the equipment we use, some people love one thing while others hate it so it’s always best to try for yourself to see which suits you best. Thanks for watching
Well I guess if you use a swivel you won’t be leaving the univalve any time soon. Like Darren I used the aqua-tap for a long time. I was able to get it to work on a swivel. I would bring the brush down to the corner of the frame so it wouldn’t slip, then I could twist. I was a little of a pain. Nice review 👍
Aeria Pro thanks Ray. I did manage to get it to work with the swivel but like you say it was to much of a pain in the butt to be effective. Thanks for watching 👍
I used mine for a while and had no problems with it but I have gone back to the Uni-Valve. I did hear that a few people had problems with them breaking. 👍
Good video. Sorry this is totally rubbish from gardiner, again over priced, and so annoying as turns on and off so easily. I’ve got uni valves and so much better and cheaper.
