Thank you for this information. This is very useful information for the train station we’ll be utilizing while visiting Paris. Which line do I take from CDG to Gare De L’est for the 1st leg of our trip to Stuttgart, Germany?
Awesome video! I visited this station last year traveling from London to stuttgart. London, gare du nord then gare d lest to Stuttgart. It’s a nice station for sure. I’m doing this same journey again end of May. The cafe over the road on the corner is ok for a quick pit stop as well. I think it was called gare de lest cafe or something.
Wonderful video - thank you! For a couple of American seniors transferring from Gare de l'Est to Gare Paris Saint-Lazare, carrying luggage for a two week trip, would you agree that taking a taxi or Uber is the best option? I know traffic can be very bad and that a big time buffer is required if traveling during the day, but the challenge of carrying bags on a crowded metro and making a change seems like quite a lot for Americans not used to taking public transport, especially considering the stress of making the connection. Would the RER be a better option than the metro despite the walk needed to get there? My gut tells me just to tell them to take a taxi. What do you think? Thanks for your thoughts.
As a traveler from Germany, how do you get through these turnstiles on the platform at this train station with a ticket purchased online and stored digitally on your cell phone?
