Gareth David-Lloyd began his acting career in school plays and as a teenager, joined the Gwent Young People's Theatre and The Dolman Youth Theatre. He went on to study Performing Arts at Crosskeys College in South Wales.
Gareth first appeared as Ianto Jones in the comedy/drama Mine All Mine written by Russel T. Davies in 2004. He went on to continue as Ianto Jones on Torchwood and Doctor Who, and has even recorded an audio books and appeared in audio dramas for Torchwood.
After Torchwood, Gareth has appeared in a number of television series and films including A Very British Cover-up, Girl Number Nine, Red Faction: Origins, Warehouse 13, Holby City, Waterloo Road, and recently completed work on the independent film I Am Alone.
