it was on the wednesday, we sat above the stage to the right. i actually filmed a 10 sec segment of the show but i think it would be illegal to post it on here.
exactly how i feel - this is auditioning for a variety show, shaun belongs on XFactor, he didnt audition for it though because he knew he wouldnt win on there, he's only average if you compare him to other singers - so he came on BGT and stole a place from a very talented, entertaining man.
why aren't people moaning about susan boyle not going on X factor, hell why doesn't ever singer on Britains's got talent just not bother, lets just have dancers and a few novelty acts
i thought he was HILAROUS and should hav got through to the finals. shauns a good singer but their are so many programms for singers including the Xfactor.
why should only young singers be allowed? if an older person has raw talent, why should they be discriminated against and not be given the chance to follow their dream?
Ha! That's one of the daftest things I've heard in a long while. ITN is a programme-maker contracted by ITV plc to provide the news. ITN works for ITV - it doesn't own it! lol
Sure, I'll try. Hmm..maybe it's not really that impressive. It's like ventriloquism, he's talking without moving his lips. So, he'll mouth a sentence and then, when he's done mouthing it, he'll say it with his lips together. So, it sounds like it's off-sync audio, but it's just him separating his voice from his actions. I just thought ventriloquism was a huge talent...another huge talent he's showing is his ability to un-co-ordinate his body and his voice. Hope I helped?
totally agree with you. Gareths act requires a lot of talent and hard work he should have gone through. simon only puts through singers and doesn't seem to think that other acts also require a lot of talent such as playing an instrument etc. He was very sceptical about putting julian through! Variety show ha don't make me laugh!
Oh! Haha, sorry, I think I misunderstood your original question :P I'd have to agree with you. They're both special talent. I think Shaun Smith and Jamie Pugh might stand out... They can't really choose 2 dancing performances can they?
1manumad3, according to the Britain's Got Talent website (you should really check it out lol): Flawless, Shaun Smith, Aiden Davis, Jamie Pugh, Mama Trish, Merlin Cadogan, and DJ Talent are all performing in the second semi-final tonight.
Cool! You're very welcome. Haha, yes, I didn't find it funny either. I liked his talent, though! You know what is funny, though, the Simon Cowell/coconut joke he made in the semi-final. *giggle* lol
Oh yeah I know- don't get me wrong. He's AMAZING at what he does and how the hell he did that with the puppet, I don't know and I doubt we'll ever see a ventriloquist as good on BGT. But the thing is that proper ventriloquism with a putppet and everything is very 70's- in his audition he made it more modern and funny, but in the live shows, he just went back to 'normal' ventriloquism. Very good ventriloquism, but nothing that nobody's ever seen before. I think that's why he didn't get through :(
This was SOOO funny and clever!! But then he brought out the puppet in the semis and just wasn't as good :( He's a very, very good ventriloquist (sp?) but the puppet- thing's very outdated- in the audition, he made it up-to-date, in the live shows, he didn't
ill tell ya wot it was, something different other than a singing act which we have seen very little of this year. but he wont win cos theres too many singers already through. shame really.
when wud people ever understand humour, this guy was amazing, he shud have went thru to finals, they keep chosing best singers. singing is nothing, but what this guy has is a rare talent.
I thought Gareth was brilliant, to be able to sing as he did, let alone through a puppet is amazing and it was a shame he didn't get through. Diversity were great as well.
no i dont agree with you 'cause this happened in the 4th semi final.. where they didnt have to wait for the 3rd judge's decision. i sometimes think about it just the way u did, but its maybe the 2nd judge whos giving the other contestant a chance by leaving the final decision to the 3rd judge. thats just what i think btw ;p and im so glad "two grand" got in the final !! GO SALLY !!:D
well the thing is ..... shaun can actually go places, and yeah although i agree whole heartedly with you. Do you actually think for a second someone like simon is gonna pass a guy like shaun??? c'mon simon obviously sees some sort of potential in the guy ^^. Gareth can go to many clubs and shows and make a big name as an entertainer .... MOST DEFINITLY but ...... shaun can make song albulms and stuff like that, and thats why simon and amanda said yes. well..... thats what i think ^^
I LOVED him! WHY did Shaun what's-his-name get through?? Okay- he was admittedly a good singer, but we've really seen quite enough of those. We already know that Britain's Got Talent In Singing, what was wrong with the variety Gareth Oliver showed?? And really- he proved that he can sing just as well as the rest of them. With his mouth CLOSED!
auditions is a surprise show for the lulz. semis is a variety act. finals is a talent show. I prefer the semis, singers and dancers should have their own shows and go on them so that variety acts have a show to get somewhere! I mean, Shaun is good, he's more talented, but why can't singers go to a singing show...
You mean like the 200 singing and dancing acts every year? This act might be original in world context but in the context of Britain's Got Talent it is. Hell, this is certainly more original than Paul Potts and George Sampson. Both talented people but singing opera and street dancing isn't original, is it? How often do you see this on BGT?
wtfjop: That's not a mistake in video/audio synchronization - he is actually doing that! He is a ventriloquist. First he pretends like he talks and just after that he closes his mouth and actually talks. That's the point of his act. It's original, quite entertaining, VERY amazing and requires a LOT of talent to do.
hmm i think her grandfathers voice is unique and for an old man, hey its pretty awesome ! omg sally.. im totally obsessed about her voice ! good thing im single now but unfortunately shes too young to be my girl friend :( im just gna have to wait a couple more years, 5 or probably 6. haha ;p
3rd season yesterdays episode :D vids are on youtube, u should check them out theyre pretty good.. and oh hell yeah sometimes the 3rd judge makes a stupid decision like amanda when she chose shaun instead of gareth :/ yeah lol i understand ;p i just thought of saying what im seeing haha
uhhh hes doing the whole my mouth is moving yet the words are coming out out of sync and they mis match how his mouth move... its like ventriloquism but instead of a puppet talking its you talking but the mouth just move maybe 3 words behind.
very true..did no one notice how his singing was actually really good..and that was through his teeth ! this show is too predictable they just go for the ones that will please the teenage girls because they are the ones who vote on the show
Gareth should of gone through over Shaun as Gareth were singing Exellently with his mouth Closed and Shaun is a really good singer aswell but Gareths act id more of a talent No Affence to Shaun though as he as just as good.
people form all over the world do that -_- my friends does it and they dont even know who the hell is that black guy from Police Academy you are talking about. As for the act, omg brilliant!! this guy is so funny ^_^
We used to have a party every year at my primary school and he came in one time and me and my friend saw him walking down the corridor and asked him to do this and he did! It was so cool! :)
hm...idk what to say...but....i dont think this is a talent....they must find some1 who has a nice talent ...not like this ...he's just talking...i think any1 can do it if they give a little try...
saw gareth in holiday village, egypt last week- top show and top bloke.he stayed in the hotel and mingled with guests,no airs and graces just a down to earth guy ( all yorkshire folk are...)
