he plays the worst lineups like foden on the left and trent in the midfield. he doesnt know what hes doing and he parks the bus after one goal. he has kane drop back to receive the ball instead of making forward runs its ridiculous. you cannot sit here with a straight face and tell me that england side draws with slovenia of all teams
Objectively England's luckiest manager who doesn't have a plan for the squad, doesn't know his starting 11, experiments in the group stage when he's had so many friendlies to do that, makes substitutions that usually make no tactical sense (sometimes he has made good ones tho), plays favourites and leaves star talent on the bench, allows 3 youngsters (2 of which had only been on the pitch for 10-15 mins) to take the biggest penalties of their lives in the euro final, which he had already messed up by parking the bus against a good Italian side. He ruins momentum by parking the bus as soon as we score, he has never beaten a top international side except for Germany (fair play that was a good game) (we also got screwed against France and Kane missed a pen so not completely his fault). He gets the easiest paths to finals I have ever seen, as we see in this euros. As England fans, we get to see our star boys and favourite players play dull, uninspiring football to scrape draws to Slovenia and Denmark. So yeah, England fans aren't gonna be happy with that no matter what, especially not those who spent $10,000 to go to Germany and watch the games live, just to fall asleep and see this golden generation be wasted.

I feel bad for Southgate. England golden generation from 2002-2006 couldn't get past the quarter finals and then failed to qualify for euro 2008. But Southgate gets insane abuse despite reaching their first ever Euro final and their first world cup semi final in decades. Life is unfair.
This is true, Southgate has done a lot of good for England, but England need to preform proper attacking football if they want to get their hands on the Euro trophy with all the attacking players. I am incredibly surprised they got out top of the group- it was seemingly mainly on luck, only scoring two goals. Proper attacking football must be performed if they want to win the tournament, and more sensible, efficient tactics, allowing more big chances, and goals.

Jude having one good performance doesn’t mean that he isn’t overrated An “easy draw” in international football means nothing, the gap between teams is razor thin and over 90min upsets happen extremely often
