So after beating a bat thing, a dragon, and a water balloon animal, the last adversary in Garfield's journey is... A SNOWMAN. Really? Out of all possible final bosses, they picked A SNOWMAN.
So was this game really based on Garfield? Because it looks like they just made some generic platformer and slapped a Garfield sprite on it. I mean, if it were Garfield's actual nightmare, you'd think one of the bosses would be a spider, or a raisin cookie, or Nermal.
It looks like they spent more time on the ending then they did on the actual gameplay and boss designs. This is definitely a game that hit the bargain bin like a month after it came out.
It's more of a game than Garfield Gets Real: The Game will ever be. At least Garfield's Nightmare is in a finished and playable state, unlike Gets Real, which is unfinished, and some of the levels are near fully broken.
@@crazycockatoo5816 I agree, also the game is rather visually impressive for an NDS title. They don't skimp out on the backgrounds and stage art like, everything looks very unique
thanks so much for this. I recently found my old Garfield's Nightmare cartridge - I was never able to beat the game as a kid. I played it this week and used your video for the boss battles and finally beat the game! My younger self would be proud, lol.
Did they rip the Garfield model from another source? Because Garfield's model is good, it looks pretty detailed, but the boss models all look like they're from a N64 game.
