Oh yea he forgor to mention that when you bring him food he disappears after. So basically you freed the spirit of a guy who starved to death by giving him food... oh and Garfield fought Sans
No it was that Jhon would kidnap people and make them his pets, keeping prob thousands of them in his basements. He could also morph his body into and out of a cartoony look
@@thatoneguy7419 a theory is something that can't be proven as fact. We say him in the basement. That's not a theory anymore. Unless the creators of Garfield say that the game ISN'T canon
Right- like it’s not even a theory at this point. And if that’s the case then I really want to know why? Like why did the creator decide to do this, and why hasn’t he expanded on this.
The game isn't canon. And Jim Davis said Lyman was cut because he was originally added to be someone for Jon to talk to, but he was cut because Garfield fully took the role. Jim said that the answer was a joke like the other answers and that was the reason. God this is stupid. People try to make stupid theories off of jokes
"Hey Jon.. didn't you used to have a roommate?" Jon - "Hey before I answer that can you follow me down to my basement? I'm about to have it turned into a home-theater and need another opinion on what I should put down for flooring..."
Look at the Garfield Show episode named "Long Lost Lyman" it explains a lot Edit: the CGI cartoon, episode 126 Another edit: to Aiden John Kromodimedjo; Lyman, it's about LYMAN!
I would like them to bring back that game where they actually have a Halloween game until like a game for like Nintendo and PlayStation and Xbox and all of those
On the late 2000's tv series. Lyman became a wildlife photographer in the Australian Jungle. (I know.) He didn't contact Jon because he didn't have access to a phone. He decided to stay there to protect the wildlife from poachers.
The thing is that when garfield was in the house in the halloween game he saw him chained up so he freed him therefore causing a incursion with different timeless set off and that would end up concluding that he never got chained up and instead Kang the conquerer made it so that he went to africa to not leave a huge hole (This is a joke)
Had to go back and play the game after seeing this, only to discovery the entire website is down. Damn time flies and John totally had that dude in his basement
In the newer shows it is found out that Liman was a protector of the wild also known as the Zabadoo which stops humans from hunting innocent animals that are illegal to hunt
Show isn't connected with the comics, just reference them but no direct story lines(I'm talking about the lore of Garfield...) And the show probably came after the john basement thing happened, for all we know he could have either escaped or let go and just forgave John I guess.
Garfield is from my hometown Muncie, Indiana. Jim Davis is a nice guy. It's not uncommon for artists to have 2 interpretations of their work. What they sell and what entertains them.
The web comic Garfield minus garfeild feeds into the idea that john is crazy its literally a series where garfield is repoved from the strips but johns dialog and actions are tge same
Not a big fan of Garfield, But back then when online flash games existed, that scavenger hunt game brings so much memories and i didn't even realize it's that something so dark lmao
The theory could be true. even though Lyman was annoying to Jon sometimes, he still liked having him around, but he was jealous that Lyman had odie. so he lured Lyman, saying he had treats for odie and then locked him in the basement. And if you watch the Garfield series and listen very closely, you can hear him scream for his life.
In other “Lore” Limen was odie’s owner and limen was a photographer. Limen decided to take pictures of Garfield’s version of BigFoot so he went there and never returned back to odie. A couple years later Garfield and the rest were stopping a man from attacking endangered animals they found Bigfoot and when Bigfoot cornered them. Bigfoot revealed that he was limen in a costume. Limen says that when he was looking for photographs limen ran into Bigfoot. Bigfoot was a old man who would wear a costume to scare hunters away so then when the old man passed limen took his place
There is another Garfield theory In the comic, there is a part where the page goes back, and Garfield says "No I don't want to go" The theory is that Garfield dreams bcz he is hungry and the part where he goes black is his death
