Especially when you realize lyman was jons roommate for a while in the earlier comics until he all of a sudden disappeared. And he’s locked up in the basement, Jon is evil
i've always liked how the donuts were realistic and not cartoony. i wanted to eat them so bad as a kid they look so yummy even now i want them lmao. i really missed this game
I just looked up Perfection Pastries and it's an actual brand. Sadly, I have never seen them in my home state, so I'm pretty sure it's a company that only produces that brand of donuts in other states.
Jim Davis has jokingly given explanations about Lyman's sudden disappearance and long absence from the strip; examples include Lyman joining the Peace Corps and never being heard from again and "Don't look in Jon's basement."
@@j.p.4629 But the thing I don’t understand is that there is no evidence prove that the haunted house in this game belongs to Jon Did this mansion even appear in Garfield series or comics?
Omggggggg I remember playing this allllllll the time on the computer when I was little. A lot of the sound affects on here scared me, especially that background music.
Oh no, I remember this... I was... maybe 9 years old. I was looking for interesting point and click games and found this. I was very scared just because of atmosphere with that music and wind sound. I was scared to go ahead, thinking of everything that could scare me more. Very disturbing was the fact that John just was sitting there, scared too, but was just giving me hints. I remember that music room where you need to play melody. When I did it I was scared even more because of that song that played after! ... but one thing which scared me to giving up on this game, when I talked to Binky the clown. I thought he will just give me advices and repeat it if I will forget. But then he screamed like real person with words "leave me alone" or something. His red eyes, that scream... my God, I wasn't sure If I went even further. Years have passed and I still don't know if I could play it again, because this music still make me feel bad. Even if I will turn it off, I don't think I could play it.
My experience to this game started as 10. I was on living room, while my parents were watching TV, I was playing flash games until I found this one - at first, my gameplay was okay, however how much I was walking throught scenarios and trying puzzles, more I was feeling uncomfortable because this song. Even as kid, I've always thought too scary even for a child game and how much I was hearing those terrible screams, more felt too terrified as Garfield. I've tried to play again on purpose to finish 100%, but since then, still can't because this game has a very creepy atmosphere for a cartoony child game. And this music don't help itself. Even as adult, you can think as joke, but still can't play this game to this song playing on my mind and getting me too scared as when I was 10.
@@hraklismpeka5113 yes, to get the assorted donuts, give the cheese to the mouse (watch out! if you don't have the cheese, it will scare you!), to get the chocolate covered donuts, if you unlocked the blue door, activate the switch, if you do, enter the attic, and help the bats spell "garfield", to get the sour cream donuts, grab the shovel, and dig the grave, to get the mini powdered sugar donuts, you had to play a music minigame, just listen to the instruments, then play it back, to get the blueberry muffins, talk to lyman, it will unlock the fridge, grab the muffin, feed him, then fall through the leaves trap, to get the chocolate chip muffins, unlock the red door, then enter the correct safe code, the awnser is 6 - 19 - 78, and to get the mini cinnamon donuts, pick the last hiding bag upstairs! here are the hiding places for many of the things: the front door key is in the chest the shovel is at the left of the fountain the flashlight is in the middle cupboard in the kitchen the cheese is on the safe trap the red key is in the dish in the left of the table (don't click on the dish in the right in the table, that's an eyeball) the green key is in the painting in the museum the blue key is under the pillow in the bed upstairs
@Random Autonomous Drone Pilot It's obvious that they didn't play it at that age specifically. If you check all the coments, the all say they played it when they were five, but it's impossible that every five year old in existence played it. For example, I played it when I was 7, not when I was 5. Everyone lies in the internet
Ok this may be just a simple scavenger hunt game with Garfield but Christ that background music is honestly terrifying. And the whole Lyman being locked in the basement thing genuinely freaks me out too.
When I was a child i played this game all day and i think i completed the game atleast 500 times like honestly this brings back alot of memories with my brother and sister
Ah, yes. The times when I would just go to my Grandmas house and constantly play these types of games any chance I got on her computer. This does bring back plenty of memories of familiarity. It was also kinda spooky, ngl. (:7
Child hood memories I remember when I was so worried that I would get jump scared but now going back to it nhaaaaa it's not scary I just remember to search it right now in my mind
Guys! I'm playing the game now. There is something wrong with the programming of the bats..They keep shifting letters and when I select any bat it only gives me "G"..
This game is basically ancient to me, i used to play it when i was a fetus, and it's surprising how scary it is, the sound design is ingeniously well put together, despite how simple it is. That, along with the factor of just finding really dark and messed up stuff everywhere makes this scary, stressful, and a genuine challenge to get through for a child, i was never able to beat the game
this game terrified me as a small child... something about the jumpscares, sound effects, and the fact that I liked reading garfield zalgo comics made this super scary
I remember playing this when i was 4 or so. This brought back memories that I forgot about for the longest damn time, some of the things in this game do look kind of familiar to me. Thanks for this.
My little sister and I loved this game. She liked it more than I did, I’d usually sit next to her and watch her play it. Those were definitely the days.
The game is actually pretty scary . When I was a little child I played and it scared me to death , I stopped playing because of it . I always remembered the background music , one time I had a disturbing dream and it had that music
Same, I couldn't sleep because of it, I always remember being worried with John sitting outside the house, getting red key, and getting scared to death with bad ending (game over) the loud scary music made me shout and cry lying on the floor. Omfg these days..
I’ve never played this, nor never heard of it until today, but reading the comments I can see why everyone was kinda spooked of this game. The music has an eerie feeling. Like imagine hearing it while you’re home alone. But I just found this game on tiktok because of a theory.
The great childhood and the memories being us all back here, i had the best childhood and I'll never complain. I want to become kid again, to relive the good old memories. I've played almost every game on friv and remember every single one of them, one of my favourite is teelonians, and one other which i sadly don't remember the name and can't find (it was a 2D shooter game which i felt like i was playing multiplayer, there were many modes, life capture the point and other stuff. The weapons were very unique, i remember one that was shooting a giant red balloon, and if an enemy gets in it, he is being slowed down. The character the player was controling had some sort of space suit and looked kinda like Masterchief. You could've also customise it, but it'll always look like spaceman. If anyone thinks he knows the gamd I'm talking about, please let me know the name of it. Thx
For those who dont know...the person in the closet is Lyman. In the comics Lyman was John roommate but then he suddenly disappeared and during the comics. I think on #32 there is a list of how Lyman is missing and the 9 ways is silly but the final one said "Dont look in John Basement." As a 20th anniversary of Garfield they revealed the truth that Lyman has been tortured by John. Now that is scary
This theory may or may not be true But Things that doesn’t make sense in this theory are: 1-This mansion or haunted house is unknown for who it belongs to 2-did this mansion even appear in any Garfield show or comics? 3-Jon was got lost in haunted house maze in part 2,which doesn’t make sense how can someone get lost in maze if the house belongs to him 4-some people say that Lyman head can be found in oven in part 2,which means that Jon could have beheaded him,but it’s not true,Lyman’s head can be found in 2nd floor basement in part 1 (the room where there are some white blankets with some monsters in it) even though Lyman was in the basement 5- the weirdest thing is that the person who is in the bathtub is Lyman himself which is weird But I think this game is just made without story to make it scary for Halloween that’s why Lyman is in random places
Now this game has a bug in the bats part :< and the frightening of this game is the fact that we see Lyman's head in one of the rooms, but also we saw him taking a shower
i used to play this and never win but today i tried and actually won. Its a really cool game and all of you saying i got scared of the jumpscares i never got scared when i was younger xd
i remember this game! i played like 9 years ago. i didnt speak english at that time, so i never understand what i was supposed to do. i just clicked everywhere and hoped to something to happen. after all this years, i can finally see how it ends! thank you!
Ok but when I heard when John said Lyman I died 💀 (I read the comics Because some of my family had them so I read them and then i realized Lyman disappeared)
Awe man I remember this game, in grade 4, every time we had computer time in the library, our class of 18 students would play this game and we would tell each other when we found something out on how to forward the story. I remember when I beat it, the ending was kinda lack lustre.
I remember playing BOTH Scary Scavenger Hunt games in elementary school computer lab, in the former, the farthest some of my class went was the book puzzle, some the puzzle whose solution is the date the first Garfield strip was printed, and some got stuck in the bat puzzle, and in the latter, around a third of my class was scared by the pig jumpscare in the sleeping Garfield picture.
