The most important thing to focus on here is _WHY_ significant portions of our population are reelecting these people. My current understanding is that this is evidence that of millions of our fellow citizens are exhibiting symptoms of stunted mental maturity, and that it must be the result of the unhealthy, multigenerational family system which they come from. Ignoring this is fatal for our society. We need at least 100 million healthy, functioning mature citizens in order for our country to function well. There is nothing wrong with _reasonable_ disagreement, which this is not.
