Thanks, I got the general idea. Would suggest you leave your iron on the joint slightly longer to enable the solder to flow properly otherwise risk of a dry joint

I suggest getting a bigger iron that will melt the solder better.

This is a Pain in the Ass all this to change a battery. There's not many golfers out there that would have the tools and patience to do this, me included.
