I have this and the Fenix 6 Solar Titanium and I love both of them. Just great watches. My Epix 2 is white and it looks stunning in real life, glad I chose that colour 👍
Love the enthusiasm that you put in your videos, especially when it comes to Garmin smartwatches. Besides getting a lot of useful information by watching your videos, it really makes your reviews something special compared to other influencers. So, thank you and keep up the great work. 💪❤️
I have been wanting the Epix Pro 2 for quite some time now. I just got mine yesterday and it is what I expected. I love it. I had the Fenix 6X and the main reason I got the Epix Pro 2 is the screen. I have the Apple Watch Ultra and I get 2 to 2.5 days before I have to charge it. I know the Fenix definitely have better battery life but I prefer the AMOLED screen on the Epix Pro 2 any day of the week. I’m definitely putting the Apple Watch Ultra in the box and just use the Epix. Great review! Thank you.
Thanks for the great review! Just got the Epix as a birthday present to replace my Sense 2. Now I look like a student driver who bought a monster truck 😂
The only drawback in garmin watches are is the find me function like ios. I wish they had one, cos i would have found my lost watch. 😔 Nevertheless i am rearing to go with my new epix gen2 sapphire
@@AuRowe no... as a qualified baker.... I'm only on $23 an hour... it has taken me years to save.... and the way things are going in this world at the moment.... I thought I'd spoil myself before I own nothing and be happy😉
@@wrightstuf73sw Nice mate. Same mentality here in USA. Currently watching "Steven Crowder" from a few days ago with Al3x Jones going on about the Great R3set so quite relevant you say that. I also read Klaus Schwabs book "Covid:19 - The Great Reset" which outlines our beautiful new peasant world as well (for our safety, of course).
trying to decide between this watch and the new Approach s70.....am a golfer but also want an all in one smart watch...that does everything ....your thoughts ??? thx...cheers from Canada
Nice job. And thanks for not polluting the content with the distracting "music" we see so often. When I'm trying to get information, the last thing I need is garbage audio going on in the background. I'm not trying to "boogey down", I want to learn something.
Does the Garmin software have a paywall for any features like Fitbit where you get some of the features, then a premium subscription ("paywall") to use the premium features?
Hello. I read that if you keep always on display, in the future it could burn the amoled screen, creating burning in zones. Do you think it will happen in this watch too?
I really love the looks of the Epix Gen2. That being said, I'll wait until they include the posibility to recieve and make phone calls from your watch, hopefully in Gen3. :)
Hi, what about Always On and Gesture Off using (f.e. 50% brightness)? Does it mean, display always on without going dark similar as standard fenix configuration? Any experience with battery usage with this configuration? Thanks!
What’s the longevity of these watches? Like when would this be considered “out dated” & needing an upgrade? Seems like a lot to shell out if it’s croaking within 5 years.
How about enduro 2 solar sapphire better battery life and super flashlight light ., I have that but I’m thinking to buy epix 2 because the screen is better
Not sure if you still have the Venu 2 plus. If you do I would love to know if you record a workout on the Venu does it update the training load and other data on the epix 2
Hey man. I still have and use it. I don't believe that info crosses over btwn devices ..from what I can tell it's info gathered from the watch itself and depending on which watch is connected, you get the relevant info...i will test my theory
Love the EPIX but cant get over not having the flashlight on my T7Pro. Oled is nice but not worth the premium over what you'd get with a regular fenix 7
You spore quickly about the samsung galaxy. I have one and i have a Garmin forunner 965. The samsung is nice, but even with a 2000 nits amoled display, the 1000 nits of my forerunner is easyer to see in direct sunlight.
i think ill wait for 3rd gen, many rumors point that garmin making new amoled screen with solar power panel inside soon, also smaller version for smaller wrists would be nice, like 41 43 mm, and flahslight features must be added in next gen, that would make this watch perfection
The problem is that is probably 2024. Hopefully not 2025. I would like solar but it doesn’t matter much because these things charge so fast plugged in. Also from a feature standpoint Garmin adds little version to version and the software is 99% the same. I had Fenix 5 and have Fenix 6 Pro and there is little real difference.
@@TomJoyce fenix is 6th 7th gen now, i understand why it gets to little improvement, cause its polished and now limited to its hardware. for epix its just 2nd gen, only this year it got amoled, and garmin rumors say soon they will have amoled + solar panel , also some new sensors. i have time so ill wait, but i bet even now both fenix and epix are absolute beasts
I wouldn’t hold out for Solar on this. AMOLED drains so much faster than MIP. Even on the MIP it doesn’t recharge so much as it slows down the battery burn. On an AMOLED screen it wouldn’t nearly as effective.
In your professional opinion, do you believe the Garmin Epix 2 Pro Sapphire is a worthwhile investment solely for monitoring hiking steps and heart rate? Please advise, as I am not currently training for any specific athletic endeavors or engaging in running activities.
For an Android user I regretted buying this watch as without and unable to download Garmin Express I can't change my watch faces or transfer music files. With a watch of this high price why do Garmin need us to go through the tedious process of using Windows or Mac to get Garmin Express knowing full well that half the world used Android. I hope Garmin can update their systems to be more user friendly to those on Android.
I bought this one as my sixth Garmin. Unfortunately the product quality is super low. The heart rate fails ( during a daily routine, not even during exercise ). In addition the hardware is defected and not robust. On top of all, the service is not there when you need it. Bottom line, 2 out of 10…
Garmin has the worst and most user unfriendly software I have ever seen in any of the smartwatches I used in the market. It is confusing and often does not work at all. I have a garmin epix (gen 2), carbon gray dlc titanium with black band, premium active and I will send it back for a refund. It will not find my Telstra WiFi 5G broadband connection my other WiFi items including other brands find with ease. Garmin, this is a useless piece of product that is not only overpriced but also user unfriendly. Do not purchase such an outdated unsmart-watch.
