I've had this watch for a bit and it really is the best. If you haven't already, you should ask Garmin to send you their CT-10 club sensors to use with it. They'll keep track of your club distances and you won't have to specify which club you used after each stroke.
if you set a hotkey to "Change Sport" you can record your whole workout as one activity i.e. "treadmill run" - change sport and select "Strength" - then change sport hotkey and then select "Treadmill run" for your cool down. You will get one activity post save - and you get the ability to see the data for both tracked activities.
Was going to get the S70 but the Gen 2 Sapphire came on sale (new) at £549 . With all that it offers in addition to the S70 it was a no brainier . Great video and good luck with Garmin
You should be able to turn on auto tracking of your shots. Then the watch will ask after every swing which club and measure the length without explicitly doing it. That way it learns your lengths with each clib as well. Of course biased by mishits and wind, buts it's really nice to see the stats and I love the way you can walk through every shot after the round. /Fenix 6 owner that couldn't be more pleased with a watch. Caters to everything, golf, kiteboarding, running, snowboarding, hiking... Just awesome! 😀
Oh yes sorry, the auto tracking was on. I just meant that in the moment if you wanted to see how far a shot went you can 😊 it was prompting me each shot

Do you have to turn on the auto shot? I’ve turned on scoring, data tracking, and everything else I can think of but it won’t track my shot distance until I tell I click “measure shot” - I keep reading “auto shot” should be tracking distance but no luck! Thank you. The CT10 sensors will automatically track the shot but if you don’t have the sensors then you will need to select which club you hit each shit with and it should track them 😁
question for you I am having a hard time choosing either the s70 or the Epix Gen 2......can get the s70 for 949.00 ( Canadian ) 717.00 ( US ) or the EPIX GEN 2 for ( 1077 .00 Canadian ) ( 784.00 US )............i am an avid golfer but i want an every day all around great watch ( health tracking , fitness tracking , golf tracking and great bells and whistles ) which do you think would be the best all around watch for me ? thx a bunch....cheers from Canada

I was looking at the new S 70 updates that show the players like distance, factoring in wind, barometric, pressure and elevation, do you know if those updates are going to roll out to the Epix ?
Hey David, great video.. Congratulations on the Garmin partnership. I would get this if I wasn’t heavily invested in the Apple and Peloton ecosystems. Love the functionality of the watch on course. Looks like it would solve the issues that the Arccos has as the Garmin didn’t seem to miss shots. Lastly, chunky people like me are offended when people like you say you’re out of shape. LOL. Quick question, what type of camera are you using for your videos and had you ever thought about using your iPhone at all for that? Thanks and fitness is a great add to the channel. We all need to get up off our butts and move around.
Hey Kenny, thanks for the comment 😊 and don’t worry there’s not a great level of cardio fitness in me right now haha 😂 but the journey has now started. I too was invested in Apple but all of the Garmin health data syncs with the iPhone anyway also it’s a win win 😊
S62 is fantastic as a golf watch that’s for sure. I just wanted all of my fitness and sleep data in the same place too, that’s where this as an all in one is awesome

I just got the epic gen 2 watch and i just don't understand how to use it. this is my forth watch form Garmin, they get more compilated each up grade, this is the most complicated one yet. have not found a video on all the basic?
Dude I have had the samsun gear from the s1 to ow the s3 for past 4 years. I havr been lolkong for an upgrade. For golf everyday use amd workong out. This is perfect timing. This looks like it has everything I am looking for sweet. Thabk you
@@davidmaxfieldgolf love it! Only one criticism…the strap that comes with it isn’t great but switched out to a nylon strap and don’t even notice it on the wrist, amazing watch.
I think for what it offers being an all in one that keeps all of your golf and fitness stats that it’s pretty well priced 😊 so hard to find one watch that can do it all like this one.
