Hi, thank you so much for this review. I had a similar purchase decision challenge as to whether I should buy the 42 or the 47. I bought both and wore them for work and Tennis for a month. If you think look into this, the 47 looks a bit silly and I felt uncomfortable when I went to meetings due to its big size. Also, it’s very tall and wide and it’s almost impossible to hide under a nice wool jumper. I felt extremely comfortable with the 42 mm however when doing sports the bigger screen size was appreciated also the 42 doesn’t have the charm of the 47. If you are quite self-conscious the 42 will do the job extremely well as it’s practical and easier to use if you like to track your sleep for example. I decided to keep the 42 as it’s less of a statement as I wear a mechanical watch as well as a smart watch at the same time

Yeah, kinda reminds me of the Galaxy 6 classic 47mm, and I returned it because of the same thing I see in this one, the prongs where the band attaches to, should be "curved", like those G-Shock watches which fit me perfectly and are 47 or 52mm. I exchanged the 47mm for a 43mm Classic 6 and the 43 is just too shall, but, but, but......thought about this Eprix and now I can see it won't work for me. AAAaaahhhh! I got the OnePlus 2 watch 47mm which fits perfectly, curved enough around my wrist and I get a watch mainly for a few reasons, which are: time, date, battery power, google pay, steps, weather, message alerts, water resistant and brightness, and that's about it, and for $249 the OnePlus 2 watch is perfect. I just wanted this watch for its materials, seems like it can withstand more than a drop and a bang. Garming should buy a OnePlus and copy the design, almost nobody has flat wide wrist, mine are round.....but that watch clearly looks like the band goes straight down and then it curves at the bottom, nah!

need a pic or vid showing the watch on yourself, but at a distance so we can see the entire forearm and how it looks- close up doesnt do it justice

My eyes have lost their close visislon....so I need it big. Does the large display result in bigger print?
@hhcreviews

@BfSkinnerPunk I'd think so because there more real estate to display the same info. I think if this watch is primarily used for activities, running, sports, the 47mm is a great choice. But if people like to also wear their Garmin going to work (to track other stats) where you need to wear dress shirt, 47mm is too thick to fit under the shirt cuffs.

Thanks for the video. To get screen size and battery life would you even consider the 51 mm Garmin? I have the 47 and really like it but would like more screen size and battery life of course. Thanks.

For my wrist size of 16.5mm, I would NOT consider the 51 size. It will be truly too big for my wrist, and the thickness is also another 0.4mm higher. I suppose if people with my wrist size only wear the 51 for exercise, it may work. Otherwise, for day to day, it won't feel too comfortable. I've see folks with the 51, but their wrist size I'd estimate to be at least 18+ inches.

Is it possible to turn screen always on?
@hhcreviews
@hhcreviews 7 месяцев назад
Of course but screen always on will use significantly more battery. Without always on, battery can last (no GPS/satellite usage) 16 days although my test shows about 12 days. If always on, the battery only last 6 days (per Garmin). However, I believe you can set always on function off but make it activated only during specific activity (e.g., running) so when you are running, the screen is on for you to quickly glance the data.

Nice but 42mm is to small? 47 is ok for your hand?

For a normal mechanical watch, 42mm is my limit (my preferred size is 36-39mm). But for a digital sport watch, most people prefer a larger digital screen and based on my review of different sizes, 47mm is preferred by me. The larger digital screen on the 47mm is so much easier to view vs. smaller sizes. That's why for digital sports/exercise watches, I see both men and women tend to wear a size that's significantly larger than their non-digital mechanical watches.

Naah, its way to big for your wrist, imho. ❤

Yes, for work and everyday wear is too big and thick, but not an issue at all for primarily running and workout.

Do looks matter this much ? This is a tool. Like a hammer. Supposed to be useful. Not pretty.
