📜 Description 📜
--------------------------------------------
Introducing the Epix Pro Watch - a badass, modern, and luxurious timepiece. Join me as I explore its features and help you decide if it's the right upgrade.
There are different sizes available: 42mm to 51mm. The 47mm might be ideal for most, but if you have a smaller wrist and aesthetics matters, consider the 42mm. Larger versions offer better battery life and a bigger display for easier stat tracking.
The Epix Pro has a tough and durable design with Gorilla Glass, stainless steel bezel, and a plastic body. The Sapphire version with titanium is lighter and more comfortable, despite the higher price.
Features include an AMOLED display, 32GB storage for music and maps, a versatile flashlight, and metrics like Hill Score and Endurance Score for performance tracking. Training Effect and Training Readiness optimize workouts and prevent injuries.
With live maps, "Red shift", sleep tracking, and up to 16 days of battery life, the Epix Pro is perfect for outdoor adventures.
Join me for a comprehensive review of the Epix Pro Watch. Don't forget to subscribe for the upcoming tips and tricks video.

I’m waiting on the 51mm Pro Sapphire to arrive in a couple days, upgrading from the Fenix 5x. I used it for cycling, Tri, and golfing the most and the larger display with increased battery life is great for my uses and my older eyes.

Have to admit, battery life on the 51mm is really tempting. What's your wrist size, Rick? A lot of folks could benefit from knowing who buys the 51mm.
@rickstokes2239

@@RyansTechMedia I don’t really have a large wrist. The decision is more about ease of use with the larger screen when you’re on the move (cycling, running,) and what you can see when golfing, using maps when hiking etc. I’m coming up on 60 so the larger screen size is helpful. If you’re younger with good eyes then these issues may be moot. I run an IT company so my many years on computers and such have worn my near vision so a brighter high res screen is great.

@dblissmn

Very clearly better optical heart sensor than the 965 -- even if they don't bother to push the ECG firmware it looks as though it might be capable of -- and better geolocation too. If strictly for triathlon and you're not using the optical heart sensor much and not too fussy about geolocation, then the lighter weight 965 probably is the better deal and looks to me like the UI is a bit tidier and slicker.

Dennis, the way I see it, in this case it would be better not to compare the battery life in smartwatch mode, but primarily focus on GPS only battery life which is 42 hours with Epix Pro vs up to 73 hours with Fenix 7 Pro Solar. Now the question is do you spend (or need) that much time outdoors?

I'm upgrading from the Venu 2s to the Epix 7 Pro 42mm since I'm a woman with a small wrist. It's arriving tomorrow. I'm upgrading because I'm intrigued by the HRV status and the new Elevate 5 sensor. It's good to hear that you saw an improvement in the body battery. I'm not a runner. I do strength training 3x a week, swim 1-2x a week, and walk. Have you seen any difference in the Venu 2 Elevate 4 sensor vs the Elevate 5 sensor? Thanks for your review.
@RyansTechMedia

Thanks for watching Regina! Yes, I think you've made the right choice. I've only done one strength training session while wearing both Venu 2 Plus and Epix Pro and looking at the heart rates, they're nearly the same. I think more testing is needed especially with exercises that have some kind of wrist movement. And honestly it all comes down to the algorithm using the new sensor, not the sensor itself!
