Can't speak to the Garmin but I love the COROS so far as a new runner. Had it just over a week and still have 25% battery remaining. Lots of good data in the app but not overwhelming. Coming from an Apple Watch Series 7, it's a big step up for my use case. Would highly recommend.

@@zybelifting Honestly I just switched back to Apple with the Ultra 2. I mean I guess it depends how much you actually need all that data. Coros definitely tells you a bit more about what your stats actually mean. With the upcoming WatchOS update that will add training load and other wellness features, I think they will be more equal.

Great comparison, both watches look like good options. One thing I noticed is that Coros is so much better at UI design both in the app and on the watch. Take a look at 7:52 for instance, the display of the data is much more visually appealing on the Coros.

I went for the coros pace 3.. i done need vibrant display or some smart features..i just need a watch to accurately track my activity matrixes and great battery life.. i only charge it for a while when im in d shower.. been using it for 2 months now and I've gotten a couple of firmware updates too.. it's taken my running game to a different stratosphere.. that said, im pretty sure d 165 is a good watch too.. just not necessarily for my use case

Just used the pace pro in my garmin 165 music this weekend in a race, got 2nd place in my category and actually felt more rested to sprint the last kilometer. I love that if you set a course, it also takes inclination into account when giving you a pace to keep up during that split

Great comparison. But honestly, if i could find the Forerunner 255 in this price range(which is possible), even if it's used, i would take the 255 instead of both of these watches anyday. Even 255 is 2 years old, it is a better thing.

I'd say if you're a more casual runner, the 165 would prolly be preferable over the 255 just for the AMOLED display.

Great comparison! I went for FR165 coming from Apple watch and been using it for a month now. Using it mainly for running and gym activities and I agree with You, it is ideal for what I used it for. So far no complaints here even the battery life (Compared to what I had previously 🤣)

I bought the Coros Pace 3 and returned it because of the screen. I really like OLED so much more. I have the Garmin Forerunner 165 now and absolutely loving it.

This is what I was waiting for quite some time already! But will go to COROS Pace 3 on the features and price as I learned from the video. Also battery is better in the Pace 3.

I have all these,in my opinion coros is far far far better than Garmin even as compared to epix. It's not the final data all about.. it's the accuracy during exercise.. most accurate heart rate sensor in COROS, sleep analysis best, software best, integration with phone best.. it's the best watch ⌚❤.. yes the screen brightness is dull in COROS but during the exercise MIp scree is looking much better.. remember coros is for workout not like apple watch Again it will last long

Where have you seen that heart rate and hrv on coros better than Garmin ? What kind of weed are you taking ? Even the single gps on Garmin fr 165 beat coros pace 3 multi band gps, go check. On the corner coros pace 3 sucks

@@janatarumsrihandono5672 I like the Buttons more and it looks less cheap. But mainly the display looks much better and it took very long to find gps on the coros. The only thing I liked more about the coros was the watch band, which I replaced on the garmin for around 10€.

The COROS Pace 3 is my first running watch and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. I use a heart rate strap for more accurate and instantaneous data. I’ve no experience with Garmin so it’s hard for me to say if it’s better or not. But this is a good comparison review. I use the Pace 3 exclusively for running and hiking and it’s been flawless. The Training Load is really helpful to get a feel for planning my weekly training, I’m now used to it resetting with the start of a new week and plan accordingly. The battery life is outstanding. Love the COROS app too.

Hey! Thanks for the video! Pretty great comparison! I'm checking some reviews to decide which watch to buy (it will be my first one) mainly for running, and to last at least 3 years. (I really don't care about the screen being AMOLED or not). Where I live, Coros Pace 3 is about 90 dollars more expensive than the FR165, so not that cost-friendly as in other countries, and the FR165 is looking better in this specific scenario. I'd like to ask which one do you indicate in this case, is the Pace 3 worth the extra money? They seem very alike in almost all topics, and I see that lots of people tend to choose it because it's cheaper, but my case is quite the opposite.

I have the 45 and just realised it is not compatible to the HRM. Now I am thinking of the 265 + HRM VS Pacer 3+ HRM+ POD it seems to be bang for buck.

Yep! Can never go to Coros because of the dial instead of buttons, It will be a nightmare in winter when operating the watch with gloves on.

Already bought the Coros Pace 3 and it arrived yesterday but I couldn't resist watching this. Honestly I might have gone for the 165 if I saw this first but so far I'm liking the Pace 3. That said... a big reason I wanted a new watch was better heart rate monitoring. My old Samsung Sport would always lose the heart rate completely if I was sweating which kind of ruined the point of the monitor. Wondering if I should give the 165 a try but I'd hate to have to deal with returning one of them and if I had the budget to keep both I may as well go for a watch in a higher price bracket instead. I don't love how much variation there was in your tests of GPS and HR monitoring on the Pace 3.

Get the Pace 3, based on what I know, the software and most of the features are already packed in the Pace 3, even something from the upper models. The difference are mostly in the hardware (no Sapphire and Titanium), while the Garmin 165 lacks most of the features. And it would still get updates further down the road. If it is good enough for the fastest marathoner (Eluid Kipchoge) then it you can, bet that I can be good enough for you!

That's a tough one for me. I prefer a 5 button configuration and the AMOLED display of the 165 but also could benefit from the cycling power meter support on the Pace 3.
