In the last example you deleted the hold as you were cleared for the "straight in" approach. Very cool. In the scenario that you do not receive vectors and are not cleared for the straight-in and you must untilise the procedure turn, what does the Garmin do in terms of sequencing? ie. does is automatically suspend waypoint sequencing or do I need to push that button?
Eric C activate the approach once u have been cleared by ATC or if uncontrolled, do it basically once u have selected what runway u will use and proceed and do the approach don’t forget to make a traffic call to the airport traffic. U must hold at the last cleared point if u do not get cleared for the approach. This could happen for a variety of reasons
What software are you using for the video? Is in the Garmin G1000 emulator? Last I knew, that software was not compatible with later Windows OS. Good channel Tanks in advance. #Subscribed
The CDI doesn't have a HDG mode. At 14:20, the autopilot is in HDG mode and is turning to the bugged heading on the HSI to promptly initiate the turn as directed by ATC. However, the CDI will display the deviation of the selected nav source (GPS/VOR1/VOR2/etc) regardless of if the autopilot is in HDG or NAV mode.
