Garmin Instinct Review. 3 Years Every Day, what makes the Garmin Instinct so Comfortable to wear?

The biggest things that make this comfortable to wear are:
It is lightweight
The band is fantastic
The design of spacers on either side of the watch help prevent any chafing
The biggest discomfort item is really only its bulk. I have not had any problems with the heartrate monitor notch or the charging port in the 3 years I have worn it.

Love it, so much more durable than my Apple Watch. So much more practical. The Apple Watch tries to condense a phone into a watch, the Garmin focuses on usable working tasks. All the health monitoring is an added bonus to me, which is also better reported on the app than Apple. For the record I love Apple products, almost exclusively….almost :)

I've got the Instinct Solar, and it could easily be my only watch, if I didn't already own other watches that I enjoy wearing. I use the Instinct primarily as a fitness tracker, and don't always wear it when I'm not exercising. However, it certainly is comfortable and the MIP display is very crisp and easy to read, with very high contrast. I like that the display is customizable, with six available screens in either positive or negative, for a total of 12 screens. Each screen is further customizable by adding or subtracting widgets to show only the information that you want to see. A 13th screen shows if you activate the battery saver option, showing only the time and date.

I was very close to ordering an Apple Watch then I discovered your videos about the Garmin instinct. Your videos definitely persuaded me, I ordered my instinct yesterday. Now I can’t help but watch videos about it while I wait for it to come in lol

I don’t even know how I got to watching your videos but after my Apple Watch finally gave up the ghost I was convinced to purchase the instinct… and I gotta say so far I love it… I’ve been looking at Garmin watches and I’m so glad I got the instinct thanks

I just received the Instinct, and it is very comfortable to wear and provides all the functionality I'm looking for. I'm not sure how accurate the health aspects are, but I think it will work for my needs. I also own an Apple Watch Series 8, which is what I'm comparing it to.

Great watch.....GPS some what accurate.....long sleeves or multiple layers bezel is catching your clothes. I love my watch. An I give it hell every day....

Test dropped my garmin in the snow from the top of a cell tower found it 4 hrs later not a fluffen scratch. Yes buy it.

I have the instinct, worn it for almost 2 years then tried to switch to a forerunner 245, the instinct band hands down more comfortable the forerunner I only wear occasionally on long runs, just can’t beat the ruggedness and battery life of the instinct

Hi Dawidos, absolutely! The battery life is still excellent! I use it every day, and while the life may have gone down a little, I still only need to charge it once every week and a half or so. I hope that helps and you have a great day!

Got my solar tactical last month. Most comfortable smart watch I own. I haven't touched my others since I received my solar tac. All other watches required aftermarket bands. I haven't had to do a single thing to the solartac. Best battery I've ever seen in a smart watch. 10/10

@@stevenkook1744 I've had it for a month. Charged it twice. Not because I had to, but because I felt like it. I'm still adjusting to its 20 something day battery life. When i see the battery icon show half, I get nervous. What I forget is that half is 13 days remaining. Lol.

Yes for casual use, with some tracking, it will last at least 10 days. I charge it when it goes to one bar, as it is 20% or less at that stage. If you are going out for an active day, I recommend fully charging the watch as well, but after the initial fun of button pressing, it consistently works for everyday functions for 2 weeks between charges. It has most the features of a Smart watch and I like that it can work independently of my phone most of the time, with just the occasional synch.

Completely agree, great watch, I too wear everyday, love the smart functionality and great when out hiking etc. Battery life always exceeds my expectations. Similarly I cannot sleep in it. I experienced irritation with the strap so use a modified nylon nato strap with a hole cut out for the HRM
