The reason the first fish stayed on the surface is because its small air bladder inflated when it was reeled up fast from deep water. Great video!

That makes sense!! Barotrauma!! Thanks for responding ND for watching!! Tight lines!!

Nice video again. And anytime you catch them 25 ft or deeper you have to fizz them to deflate the air bladder. You can do it without sticking a needle in their bladder. I will show you the next time I come back south! Tight lines. 🎣🎣

Hey, Carl! I need to learn that technique. Barotrauma can kill the fish. I had dinner plans for that big guy, so at least he didn't die for no reason! I appreciate you brother! TIGHT LINES!

What weight jig head are you using I think I'm too light as it doesn't sink as fast in that deep of water... Thanks Nice video you had a great day on the water

Just curious to why your using a long rod when pitching out to the fish? If ever in Kentucky holler at me and we'll go.
@bigcatchfishingmississippi
@bigcatchfishingmississippi 4 месяца назад
Hey, great observation. Sometimes, when the fish are within range, the 10 ft rod is better for pitching. It is a great all-around length for me. The 8ft rod is better for the longer casts. Maybe someday we will slay em in KY!! TIGHT LINES!!

What's the brand of the LiveScope pole you're using?
@Pete-from-Tn
@Pete-from-Tn 4 месяца назад
I think its the SeeLite pole. But I'm sure he will tell you the model soon.
@bigcatchfishingmississippi
@bigcatchfishingmississippi 4 месяца назад
Hey, that is right. It is the Seefish Transducer Mount 2.0 (8in) by SeeLite: www.seeliteleds.com/collections/fishing-accessories/products/seefish-transducer-mount-2-0. However, I am going to get the Sniper Marine Sniper Pole. It is a much better design. Check it out at www.snipermarine.com. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Tight lines!!

What brand and length rod do u use
@bigcatchfishingmississippi
@bigcatchfishingmississippi 4 месяца назад
Hey, I usually use ACC Crappie Stix. I am not sponsored by them. I use the 8ft or 10 ft cork handle rods about 80% of the time. The rest of the time I use the 12 ft cork handled rod. Occasionally, I use the 14 ft, but it is pretty heavy. Let me know which ones you use. Thanks for watching and your comment! TIGHT LINES!

I am confused how you drop bait down 20 feet out. Are you casting and letting it fall ? I usually think dropping dowm would be limited close to pole length.
@bigcatchfishingmississippi
@bigcatchfishingmississippi 4 месяца назад
Hey, I cast it or pitch it out there and let it drop to the fish. It takes a little practice. The best thing is to get as close as possible, but sometimes you have to cast to them. Especially when they are spooky or moving. Thanks for the comment! TIGHT LINES!!
