Good info as usual..I have my lvs34 on pole mount on my kayak. I'm using the Fishing specialties kayak bowducer pole with their 34 transducer mount. It does down, forward & perspective. It's a ram ball transducer mount so you can adjust the angles infinity. The ram mount makes the transducer center below the pole so it has less water resistant & not hanging off the side like a hockey stick. It also has the cord run down through the pole it's completely out of the way, don't need to tie it up. I've been super happy with it so far!

Great video! With a pole should I be using a flat mount or the slight angle mount they sent with it? Yours look flat to the pole. Also you show going to prospective mode from port side only, which way does it all go from Starboard side? Or should I switch to port then prospective? Thanks for the help that Garmin does not give!!

Just watched this. I think I get it between forward and down orientation. I'm going to run a front mounted pole like you've got on my boat

I see you can adjust the down angle on the summit mount for perspective mode. How do you adjust the down angle on the Garmin 34 mount? It looks square and not angled down, which means a lot to the 20 degree beam will be pointed out of the water and not toward the bottom. Seems you would want to be a able to adjust that. Is Garmin missing something?

when using a rod holder mount, on the port side gunwal, do I still face transducer forward?

Hello love the video, I’ve got the 32 really wanting to up grade to the 34, i fish mainly 20 to 30 feet mainly fish brush piles rarely snipe fish don’t really like it is the 34 really worth the 1200 dollar upgrade thx

Did a really good job explaining on the lvs 34 unless I missed it I think that was the prospective amount that you were explaining would that be the same as a zero mount far if you were in down mode. just got it hooked up taking it out tomorrow hopefully the weather holds up

Thank you for making such a clear concise video. I had my transducer faced backwards with cable in front prior to this and knew I had something wrong by what i was seeing on chartplotter.

In forward view on a pole mount is the transducer supposed to have that slight angle up?

For bass fishing clear or dirty waters, which way would I need my transducer? Brand new to livescope not sure what I’m doing but you are helping lots, thanks. I just don’t know if I should put it down or front or which one

So when i bought mine, I put it on a pole, not on trolling motor. It cam with two mounting brackets with the four holes. One straight and one has an angle. Which one should i use.

Good video, have a question off the subject. How can I turn on and off my tracks on a ultra 126sv. Have tried but end up losing all tracks. My screen is loaded with tracks I don't need but don't want to lose the ones I do.

How far under the waterline do you like the transducer?

When I move to a different spot and pull the troll motor up, do I have to turn anything off?

I had it 180 back asswards.

Does it matter if the transducer is port or starboard?

One more question.... I calibrated my unit and got a 97% on both readings. However, for some reason the cone on the top right corner does not point in the direction that the transducer is pointing. I have done it 6 times and have the same problem. I have done it with the trolling motor and big motor. Any ideas?

I have fishing specialist mount. No pole in the way to be on starboard or port side. Sooooo let me understand this correct.... regardless of which side I use port or starboard the cable in front or in the back tells me which way to orientate the Transducer.. Cable in front means bottom is parallel Cable in back means top is parallel Also I have used down mode and left it in the same position and adjusted the angle or pitch to make it straight as possible on the installation setup and I believe it was pitch

There are 4 words that should be in the Garmin install literature: "Cord in the back"

I have a question, I'm running a livescope setup upfront and a 94sv at the console. Do I need 2 separate batteries for this setup. What brand of fuse block do you run, I'm trying to figure out what I need for my setup

Most ppl ik have to run lvs 34 1 click up. If not I can't see my bait more than 30ft
