1-2 would be port! And 3/4 would be starboard correct. I believe the image is incorrect

At 14:19 minutes, "Installation - Trolling Motor Shaft", the port and starboard description is reversed. Positions 1 and 2 are port side mounts: (the port (left) side of the trolling motor SHAFT (not the boat). Positions 3 and 4 are the starboard (right) side of the trolling motor shaft. This is very confusing and should be noted. On my MotorGuide Xi5 the trolling motor propeller is toward the stern of the boat, the trolling motor when deployed is on the port side of the boat, and when the trolling motor is lined up in the dead ahead position my LVS32 transducer is mounted on the port side of the trolling motor shaft, as seen in diagram 1 (that is mislabeled Starboard). I suggest that Garmin clarify for this transducer installation purpose that port and starboard refer to the port and starboard side of the trolling motor shaft, not the boat. Great product, solid and very useful explanation. I am Garmin all the way. Carry on.

Sir you are extremely versed in this area so I have a question please. Everyone is saying LiveScope is a 20 Degree forward cone and I get that. However nobody is talking about the length needed to get the 20 Degree's... For example when we are using 2D we know its roughly a 3 to 1 ratio on the down which effected on the depth. How is LiveScope 20 Degree Cone not effected by the length to reach the 20 degree's so we can zone on on where that object really is????
