Thank you for your comment, you will be happy with this unit! I think I will be going out with my son this weekend. Hope I have gained another subscriber!
I dunno half the things this thing can do but it accurately tells me the depth and I can watch my crab pots drop into the sea. Also shows you the fishies swimming around under you - I’d get it again in a heartbeat
Thinking of getting this. I am a fairly new fisherman from Canada 🇨🇦. Just to do a bit of ice fishing with. Would you recommend for somebody new like me? Good video!
Lane, thanks for commenting. I wouldn't hesitate on one of these units, but if you didn't want to make a setup like this one, you could purchase the portable bundle. They are very easy to use.
It comes with a transducer for your boat. It will work, since in this video that is what I am using. But you can buy the optional ice transducer.. thanks for watching!
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. If you go to my channel I do have a video of making this fish finder portable.. hope I gained another subscriber!!
Not the plus, just the Striker 4.. the transducer is the boat transducer which came with it. But now I have the ice transducer, and can’t wait to try it out..oh, this is in the flasher mode..
yes lab man gud is not a man gusto is the best thing ever and i is the best idea man or a little bit more about a good day man but i will you and will be a man who is the most important thing ever to be used
Just wondering how you put your transducer down the hole......did you rig something up or just throw it down the hole? What is the advantage of the ice transducer? Thanks for sharing
I'm sorry if I didn't show the way I use the transducer with this unit. What I do is get a chunk, maybe 1' long of 5/8" pipe insulation, it is what is used on hot water pipes for household plumbing. Put the transducer wire into the slotted insulation once, then take the transducer and put the wire through the insulation again. Then you can adjust the wire to whatever depth the ice is so the transducer hangs just under the bottom of the ice. The pipe insulation will keep the transducer afloat. Hope this makes sense, thanks for watching, and commenting, hope you have subscribed!
@@staffordshires2 Its hard to find youtube vids on the transducer set up (rig up) using the garmin "boat" transducer for ice. Appreciate the reply from here in Alberta
