I am trying to reset my device as it has been paired with another device that wasn’t mine, I now want to pair it with mine but my iPad won’t connect, it recognises it in my blue tooth menu but won’t connect, do you have Amy suggestions please?
Success! However, when I opened the watch casing, the thin blue gasket popped out. Had a very difficult time reseating it, as it seemed to have stretched over time. Finally got the 3 tiny ears seated, then carefully put the back plate on, then screwed it down. Not completely convinced I have restored waterproof-ness, but the Garmin is back up and running for the cost of 2 batteries and quite a bit of time. Also, I believe I cracked the plastic casing near one of the screw holes. You can’t be too aggressive working with plastic. Spouse’s Garmin broke at the same spot, rendering it unrepairable.
More: When I opened the casing and removed the old batteries, I noticed corrosion on one of the terminals, which I cleaned with rubbing alcohol. The original batteries lasted for well over 12 months. Thanks for the help replacing the batteries. I tried the FitBit but reverted to this old Garmin because I couldn’t read the FitBit outdoors. Also prefer not needing needing to charge up all the time.
I think you need a 1.2mm Philips. In this video I use a 1.2mm flat head and it worked fine - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6TGmC_dCL-I.html
After opening my Vivofit 4 placing the batteries right (one of them was placed upside down and did’t had the “+” pointing the right way) and remove my Vivofit 4 from my Bluetooth settings (I have a IPhone), I could finally connect my Vivofit 4 to the Connect app, which I in a long time hadn’t been able to. I hope this helped anybody🤗
@@JUMBLE2015 I ran into an issue with a screwdriver that was slightly larger than the screws. Normally, there's nothing wrong with it, but if it's not the right size, that last screw becomes too tight in the socket from the pressure placed on it. You have to loosen the screws equally in that case, or that last one becomes impossible to remove without the proper size.
I have replaced the battery twice in mine. One time it lasted right at a year, the second time it is still going after 1 year. I only sync to Garmin Connect about once a week so maybe that is why I am getting better battery life.
too bad, at the cost of these Garmin doesn't include a mini screw driver. I have to go out and buy another screw driver as the one's for eyeglasses is too big!!!
