I have a gt40 88r and there is play to the front and back so the shaft can be pushed back and forth but not to the left and right. What could be the reason for that? I would appreciate any help thanks👍
Thanks for this information, there is some turbocharger turne more than 230000 tr/min but the ball bearing don't resiste more than 200000 tr/min how it do for change from jornal beating to ball bearing for all turbocharger?
i have a garret ta51 t6, i am confused on what parts i can use on it? it has an odd downpipe flange bolt pattern with 6 bolts and cannot find anything for it. not sure on wheel sizing but the turbine housing is 1.75 a/r and the compressor side is .72 a/r. thanks for any help
This shaft is very similar, the differences is the stagger on the shaft allows it to work with the ballbearing cage but not journal bearings. The thrust collar is 16.05 on the Powerstroke collar and 14.75 on the gr4088r collar so it's possible that the shaft is shorter where it meets the collar. It won't work but I can have that same turbine wheel made on the gt3782va shaft. I can have the wheel and shaft made to any size, but it takes 45 days but I have custom shafts made all the time.
It depends what plate yours has. There are different plates such as to4B to4E to4H To4F etc. I think this one is an F plate which fits some journal bearing gt40 turbos.
You would have to use a gt37r cartridge, I have a friend that had the 6767, it had a ptrim 65 X 74.2 turbine meaning the turbo he had is the same think as the pte 6765. I should be able to make a drop in cartridge for your turbo besides the heatshield and depending on what compressor plate and housing your turbo uses, I may even be able to use your current compressor plate. But it's a good idea to check the hiusing to wheel clearance, the margin for error is really small.
