Garrett seems like the most genuinely kind person imaginable, and yet this roast seemed 10x more brutal than any of the others they've done. I'm not saying anyone was in the wrong or it wasn't fair game, but unlike every other Smosh funeral, somehow this one felt way, _way_ more punching-down.

@@katiepower8807 As they said he got "promoted to freelancer", which means he only gets paid the hours that he makes, and is only allowed to work when Smosh asks him for a project. So if Smosh offers no more projects to him, he's essentially fired. He basically has zero job security. On top of that, he's kicked off the company health insurance, and if you know anything about US healthcare then you know that brings lots of problems with it. I'm not too familiar with the US corporate structure, but I think this is what they meant.
