You should use hbombs instead of gbombs. It has (in my opinion) better effects than Gbombs and it may work better on npcs.

how to not die by a tentacle 1. dont make any noise and distract them with noises (with bombs not bullets because bullets make noises as instant when you trigger the thing) 2 find an exit in the area with them 3 do not try to kill them its pointless and they are invincible. and the reason why that garg just died and exploded is because when it dies it has to explode and not turn into ragdoll.
