Garsington is a Village and Civil Parish located approximately 8 kilometers (5 mi) south-east of Oxford in Oxfordshire. "A History of the County of Oxfordshire" provides a detailed history of the parish since 1082. The Village is known for the artistic colony and extravagant social life of the Bloomsbury Group at Garsington Manor, which was the home of Philip and Ottoline Morrell from 1914 to 1928, and by Garsington Opera, which performed there from 1989 to 2010.
