TRUE, it is criminally under-rated. I loved watching some youtubers play it back when it came out, I'm pretty sure it was actually the first vr game I had ever heard of!

If the devs really leaned into the satire interpretation, like TheMeatly did with his most recent game, I think this game can genuinely be good. But as of now and how the devs are acting at the idea of their game being satire, yeah, it should be an example of what NOT to do.

They always have been. There always are indie games with passion that honestly lots just throw aside to fit the argument. Happys humble burger farm? Shipwrecked 64? Amanda the adventurer?? Idk but I feel like this dumb poppy playtime mobile ripoff is getting the attention only because it’s that while other good horror indie games aren’t really mentioned That’s sorta how I feel however.

Tbh i miss when the FNaF SB trailer released and every one was super hyped, when It released It was totally released early

Honestly, some roblox games are pretty decent, as someone who’s worked on a roblox game, I know what gets put into them, there are some good horror games made by people that aren’t popular, he’ll look at unknown memories. Yeah it’s based off fnaf, but it’s voice acted, has custom models and animations, and overall doesn’t look like it’s made in roblox.

I can never get enough of this joke. I need more.

At first, I was with the parody crowd too. ...But then I realized that the merch store is real. Had it just linked to a parody page with clearly farcical items, then yeah, it would have been obvious what the intent was. But because they had merch ready to go from day 1, it's even more obvious that this is a quick cash grab to capitalize on Poppy. Then they acted all butthurt on twitter, and after that I have no idea how ANYONE could still think this is satire.

Firstly, many of your points are hard to argue with. But that is because they are just generalizations and don't talk about any of the specific problems of the games. Thirdly, the Euphoric Brothers didn't expect their game to go popular when they first created it. They expected it to stay pretty small like many other games and only get a few players.

gamejams would state otherwise, some of those entries are so solid theyre reworked into a proper game after. Id state its more the many assets that are obviously borrowed and the lackluster gameplay.

@@blindedjourneyman if this game was stated as a game jam for whatever theme it was going for (probably mascot theme lol), would it be as hated as it is? Some game jams allow you to use pre-made assets but I think most don’t. Game jams also challenge devs into trying out new things, and maybe this game was them trying that out. So maybe this wouldn’t get hate if it was in a game jam? Probably not, as it does lack design and quality.

I mean I've seen better games made and released on the same day before, this just feels like they cobbled together anything they could've found and released it without playing it or testing it

I wouldn't be surprised if we found out the trailer footage is the only time they've actually played their own game

I weirdly like the character design? They look like they're made out of cheap fibreglass, and it reminds me of being creeped out by fibreglass statues as a kid

This is what happened to me for Rainbow Friends. i hate it on a simple quality stand-point, but being an ADHD teen it's fun to play a ton then leaving and the dinosaur one sleeping is strangely cute.
