I think that they've always been in a committed relationship but Garu and Puca have different love languages. Garu is more into gift giving/acts of service and Puca is super into physical touch. ❤️
I think the primary reason is because we only ever see Garu RUNNING away from Pucca, and the red face can come across as also being upset, annoyed, or pissed, etc. Who knows... Seeing the edits like this, it makes sense.. But there have been many cases where Garu only runs away from her and she has to chase him down, sometimes even crying because her beloved Garu keeps trying to avoid her. That's the part where people still don't believe he loves her
It's understandable A theory says Garu was avoiding Pucca in the original series because he has a lot of enemies and he doesn't want to get her in the cross fire

@@SpinoAdri2001 I have a hunch that she's an entity with powerful abilities and decided to live amongst "normies" under the care of her 3 guardians (her uncles) since we don't know much about Pucca's parents, it's safe to say that she doesn't have parents and was born through the power of magic (I need more evidence to back this up)

I think the main show fucked them up, they lean way too much on the “boy hates girl and girl is obsessed”. They should have more moments of Garu actually loving Pucca (maybe makes him jealous, maybe an episode where the two of them are hanging out (Pucca being more gentle and less forward, and Garu enjoying spending time with her)…)
Which makes me think that season 1-2 Garu straight up hates her bc he acts nothing like webshort or season 3 garu Edit: i just rewatched all of the shorts, and i came across the short of pucca beating garu up for no reason to then kiss him, so i think season 3 garu and pucca are the healthiest
@@Shauny62 In my opinion,webshort and Season 3 Garu shows more affection than Season 1-2 Garu. Webshort garu blushes a ton + isn't always seen running away at the sight of pucca. While Season 3 Garu can bear being with her (u like s1-2) and he actually works together with her more often. The travel videos posted on yt are cute too.

I watched a really interesting TikTok with a background song of explaining how the person finds affection weird and didn’t know what response to give to it. I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS LONNG AND HARD MAN. a) Garu legit isolates himself and has lived in isolation for a really long time (own house) b) He has no parents or guardians And non he lives with c) he’s incredibly stoic and serious, (maybe because he feels he needs to as a ninja) d) he doesn’t talk so who would he willingly communicate to?? / he is shy So it made me think..*who would actually be there to give him love?* Literally no one?? So with this lack of affection, wouldn’t it be weird to just suddenly have it all? And maybe he loves Pucca so much because she is literally the embodiment of love it was said by a particular article talking about the creators but like she wears red, affectionate, etc. Maybe he asked for love, and that’s what Pucca gave him, only a 1000X MORE than he’s ever expected! It’s why he may love her but also want to distance himself completely because he’s just not use to it :( Fun fact I ranted to MYSELF about this whole theory bro for like 40 mins at 2am in bed😭

My thought is that the show just got cancelled before they develop to that point, because he was slowly but surely having more instances where he's interested in her/ tolerates being with her. -
i have a theory!!!!! so basically its that the jetex version is their youngest ages which is why garu acts more mean and immature toward pucca, the newest version is the where they are a bit older and more mature. you can see that in which garu not being as mean and pucca not being as obsessive. the shorts are when they are really older and are a true couple. which is why garu is more open with affection ❤️❤️
Well canon speaking. Their age in the jertex version pucca is 11-12 while garu is 12-13. So you're not Farfetch about how young they are in the series. Kids his age think that lovey dovey publicly is gross etc, hence why he run away from her. Plus they are already in a relationship in the show, Pucca probably thought that a couple should always hug and kiss each other all the time, which is why she always chase Garu. While Garu is embarrassed for people to see them together. I personally believe that Garu doesn't like to show affection publicly, hinted that one episode where Pucca delivery food to Garu and about to kiss him before her uncle called her. You can see his lips movement that he was about to kiss her back. In the shorts, I believe they were in their late teens or early 20s hence why they are a lot calmer in relationship wise.
I LOVE THIS. I also had a similar theory for this whole thing. The Jetix Version chronologically takes place first, where they are both practically Kids (or Preteens) in the Early Stages of a Relationship (And it does make sense remembering that Pucca is 10-11 and Garu is 12-13 in that version as well). The Newer Version takes place next is where they are in their Late-Teens, and they’re more Mature, and the Shorts are where they’re in their Early-20s. And they are a lot more calmer there as well :)
Let me be honest, I always knew these cuties are meant for each other, But I love to watch the proof because I can easily see how cute a couple they are and see their wholesome moments together.

It melts my heart every time I see them. Pucca and Garu have such a cute relationship and this just truly really shows that Garu does love her, a lot. I really hope we get to see more of them in the future. ❤
I'm so disapointed in the show. In the shorts it shows their love but in the show they made it look like that Garu doesn't want anything to do with her. LIKE????? HE GAVE HER A BELL. JUST TO KNOW WHEN SHE'S NEAR SO HE CAN RUN AWAY. He also made SEVERAL attempts to get her to fall in love with someone else :(
i think it's not really the show's fault and more of the company's. like, the original concept of pucca was always a girl agressive with her love x a shy determined boy who likes her back but after it got adapted by jetix a lot of changes happened. they decided to make him not acknowledge/hide his feelings for her. Personally, i just think he doesn't really understand true love and affection/pda, etcetc since he's been isolated and alone since around-birth/when he was a child, he's never been in a relationship or had a girlfriend so it's understandable why he would do such things. of course, i prefer the reboot and the shorts but all are very dear to me considering i'm a hardcore pucca fan
Well, if it makes you feel better, the newest show, Pucca Love Recipe made Garu kinda likes her a bit, they're not together but he clearly have some sort of feeling for her or at least enjoys her company.
Garu does like Pucca, he's just too focused on other things I guess like training. There are already signs that he's shown that implies he likes her. This is a very cute show btw.

When I was really little I didnt like their dynamic because I thought Garu didnt really like Pucca but then later I wattched a lot of the old Pucca shorts and I was like.."sooo they are really in a relationship, is just the shy/I cant, my discipline and my enemies, the danger dynamic"
