Fan since the Shrapnel days. Almost time for some Ho Ho Hoey, Linus And Lucy :) Goin' Down,,,,great way to kick things off. Getting Ready from Freddie King in '71 to the SRV boxset which was the platform last time i played out in '05 (i went last). Rock ON!!!
Gary is one of the reasons I learned to play guitar, still remember when I first heard him on the radio. My twins and I met Gary when he opened for Satriani here in Spokane, Wa., Years ago. Really cool down to earth guy !
First met him in 1990 / 91? made a couple of video tapes of his demo show for Hamer guitars. a year later, I bought one. 19 years later his band was in Santa Cruz area and we met up again and he signed the guitar he unknowingly sold me from a video tape I was watching a year later. Great guy, Great player!
What a great tone, Gary I too loved Robin Trower growing up! I'm thanking RU-vid & datflys, for finding you, and your awesome band♪♫ Your new fan johni
Met Gary years ago and knew he would have a great career. He is a very enthusiastic and talented guitarist and really loves to perform. Wishing you many more years Gary! Bravo!
Thanks Gary for Stripping down Rock into what it always should be …. Raw, powerful and tight !! You and your band mates click …… don’t know how else to put it . Stellar performance as usual here. Ever since hearing “ Ho-Ho -Hoey album “songs way back when , I became a fan. Rock on man, you are truly underrated!!👍👍
I have been to thousands of concerts and club shows in my 60+ years on the planet. Seen thousands of bands, all over the world. Fairly often, I am still surprised by the extraordinary playing of someone I never heard of. In this case a few someones.
What a gig! The Funky Biscuit always rocks. Hocus Pocus brought back many memories of Jan Akkerman and Thijs van Leer. Gary Hoey is an American icon. Star Spangled Banner to end it! A true American, thank you Gary!
Absolutely - I don’t get why people can’t hear how talented a guitarist he is. They are fixated on Malmsteem’s speed, but Hoey plays with so much more feel and soul.
@@angusorvid8840 Agree for Yngwie ... so full of himself that he forgot it's about guitar and not his own self, but for Vai / Satriani, pardon me, I don't agree :) they still the ones who opened the road for such guitar heroes like Hoey, with that said, Yes I enjoy listening to Hoey all the time. Vai / Satriani their last albums for the last 2 decades are just "reheated food"
The funky biscuit club thank you very much for amazing bands of blues rock geat sound in the club thank you from engineer of sound in Spain no sound for radio not TV thank you RU-vid for publiscer congratulations from spain
Saw Hoew 2 nights ago in San Jaun Capistrano doing his Ho Ho Hoey Christmas show. Amazing. Gary is phenomenal. An incredible night. brought tears to my eyes.
Great, it would be even more perfect if the guest guitar player could afford some proper drive pedal - that radio fuzz buzz was anything but not good for his Les Paul and his great playing...:o)
I saw Gary at seacrets OC MD a few years back, I think it was in the Marly Hall , this reminds me how awsome , I love American Made, wish he would come to Delaware!!
