Biggs had been a flamboyant Olympic super heavy by the time he fought tyson drugs had already robbed him of his skills and ability.he was winning this fight but credit to Gary who was a very powerful and strong fighter he ko"d him.God rest Gary's soul in heaven a fine man.and Biggs is a great man to this day a man of class and dignity to the fool who said no one knows who he is and he buys scratch cards, well I'm in England and I know who he is
What could have been if my man had more pop in his punch defense was shaky maybe the partying took it's toll before Tyson he was on binges and Tyson just ruined what confidence he had in himself but who really knows anything but here it was the 💰 money across the seas he knew he was going to get paid regardless!
Biggs actually lives in my neighborhood here in philly and im pretty sure hes broke. I see him in the corner store buying scratch offs all the time. no one even knows who he is.. pretty sad
Very very sad that,if he had the stamina to keep a stepping jab going against Tyson may have been a different fight but his legs got tired ,think he beat Lewis in the games
From Wikipedia: On the morning of 6 January 2011 Mason died after being hit by a van in Sandy Lane South, Wallington, South London whilst cycling. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mason was another heavyweight that Terry Lawless 'overprotected' to an almost shocking degree. He was a big strong guy with a good punch, but his record consisted of journeymen and washed up Americans. Aside from Lennox Lewis (who easily beat him after only 15 fights) Biggs was probably his best opponent.
Two points here for me: 1.) Biggs didn't have the heart or the body to compete with Tyson, Holyfield, or Lewis in that era. I would guess his well documented issues with alcohol and drugs caused that. 2.) That really looked like he took a dive.
Mason has got good head movement and moves well from the waist, but would have been complemented with quicker movement on the feet. Great boxer nonetheless Rest in Peace Champ.
You've clearly never boxed,I got stop as an amateur once cause of pure exhaustion an it was only 3 rounds, couldn't imagine what it would be like to do 12 rounds
@@catsyo2258 I think they used Tyrell for a workout and he was paid a big purse to retire two thirds through the fight? Never proved but strong rumours from Bigg's camp?
The truth is Biggs should be a great fighter..he has the heights, styles and movement but unfortunately he doesn't have mentor like cuz dammato i..that's why he couldn't be great fighters..
