No one can deny SRV’s guitar playing abilities. He totally rocks! But IMO Gary Moore plays that guitar with so much raw emotion. He makes it cry, scream and moan like no other
I've seen a lot of Gary Moore reaction videos lately, which is appreciated. This guitarist deserves much more than a simple name among the greats. He deserves a tribute as it should be.
Gary actually recorded 3 versions of this song before he was pleased and it became a hit, in Europe at least. This belongs to his '80s classics and when he played live the songs became so much longer cause he added solos that wasn't on the studio versions. Glad i got to see him playing his hardrock stuff and also his blues stuff.
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for reacting to this. Gary was the absolute guitar master. Yes, there are or were other great guitarists, but Gary was just a cut above the rest. Nobody and I mean nobody could put so much emotion and feeling through a guitar! Please could you react to Gary Moore Separate Ways Live. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aW9hCIiZ-gE.html I hope that you will react to this and thank you once again. Gary was so, so underrated it really is a crime. Cheers and regards from England. 😊😎🎸
Beautiful song by Gary , his cover of Jimi Hendrix s ..Red House ...live (50th anniversary fender Stratocaster show) should be next on your list chod , he delivers an absolutely amazing performance .
It's so true that Stevie Ray takes you on a journey one way and Gary Moore takes you on a different path but both get you totally engaged in the song. Gary has a song called Seperate Ways (live from london 1992) that is a must see for anyone interested in his music.
He's famous for playing his 'Greeny' Les Paul, but clearly he can play the Strat like a monster too. As much attention his guitar playing skills get, I gotta say his vocals are pretty amazing also.
Wow I'm so pleasantly surprised you went with this suggestion, is it because of my comment that I left just 23 hours ago with no thumbs up? Or maybe a patreon request? Because I totally thought you'd pick one of the other popular suggestions since I saw no other comments requesting this version. Whatever the case I'm so stoked to see this because there are so few reactions to this particular version. His solos in this song are probably my favorites of his, they're just so fluent and coherent, a masterful performance! Edit: Well I got my answer, thank you to whoever reached out to Chod!
I have another excellent guitarist not well known for his talent. His name is Roy Buchanan. I would like you to react to his song "The Messiah will come again" and then react to the Gary Moore cover. Both versions are excellent and different. Gary Moore is one of my favorie guitarist of all time! Continue like this!(:
@@SuperPlacido1 He put out a album with Stevie Ray called Strike Like Lightning. Awesome album. Another one is a live album called Attack of the Killer V. The V meaning, his Gibson flying V guitar.
With respect to SRV, he's only trailing after Gary Moore. Gary is a master of rock and blues guitar. Nobody played like him, ever. Please pay attention here: check out his compatriot, Rory Gallagher, also now departed. Start with a track called Bad Penny, live!
I am shocked that Chod still hasn't reacted to any Rory Gallagher yet! I only put Gary Moore ahead of Rory as the greatest guitarist to ever grace this world!
Hey Chod I understand your loyalty to SRV who I appreciate as a monster in his own genre. Sadly Gary Moore was not appreciated by the yanks. I believe it to be a jingoistic response to the "British Invasion".
Absolutely under appreciated by "yanks" but as one myself not so. Have been a huge fan since I first discovered his work in early 90's. Exposure was the thing, I think, that kept him from being bigger in America. Seldom toured in the states sadly. I try not to draw too many comparisons when discussing guitar greats as I think they all posess an individual greatness and style. Gary Moore is missed!!!
Gary and Stevie are my two absolute favorite guitarists. They play with a level of passion I've seen in nobody else. If you're still on the Gary Moore train, please check out "Gary Moore - Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" when you get a chance. It's a Hendrix cover that will absolutely blow your mind
Gary Moore, Jeff Beck, SRV, Jeff Heady, Steve Vai all say that no one played better or bent strings greater than Roy Buchanan - considered the King of The Fender Telecaster. Play some of his stuff - IN THE HEAT OF BATTLE, ROYS BLUZ, THE MESSIAH WILL COME AGAIN, I'M EVIL, his cover of HEY JOE is beyond great. Play the album cuts.
@@robertrohde4579 I love Danny Gatton too. Chod is great at playing great artist that others don't ever try. I appreciate his diversity in his reactions. It's good to hear other folks like yourself are out there and fans of Roy and Danny. I saw Roy Buchanan twice in the '70s when I was in my early 20s, now I still listen to his records in the '20s and I'm 70s. Live like music lives on in our hearts.
@@clifton8929 I was lucky enough to see Danny Gatton at Summerfest in Milwaukee. Most of my friends hadn't even heard of him and I went to Summerfest with Danny being my must see performer that day. Danny didn't disappoint me. Chod is as good or better than anyone out there when it comes to his reactions. For Chod it is totally about the music.
So clean, clear and tasteful.... Gary has been shuffled to the back of the bargain bins for far too many years (I have to agree with a comment below, due to the backlash against the British invasion by the big American labels at the time). He is an all around talent who sings through his guitar even better than his vocals, which he is no slouch at either. Loner is a perfect follow up to plug your ears into. Thanks for shaking memory tree.
I don't mean to be a comment hog...there was nothing he couldn't make a guitar do. Never a note out of place. He can shred, he can lay back and be mellow and transition in any direction. He also knows when to let the band stretch out.
Try the hard rock tune Hiroshima or the fusion Song Desperado from Colosseum II...Gary Is not only about Blues! And please don't forget the genius Tommy Bolin or Alvin Lee.
Great performance but whoever edited this live video should be shot. All they had to do was focus on Gary with occasional pans to the other performers. Instead we got weird colours, visual slowdowns, freaky crossfades, and totally unnecessary effects. I suppose they thought that 'If you don't like the visuals just close your eyes.' Which is what I did.
PLEASE YOU CHECK AND DO REACTION . FINGERTYLE THE GUITAR from INDONESIA. HE IS ONE MAN BAND .THE MASTER OF HARMONIC.🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩. NEXT STILL Got The Blues cover by ALIP BA TA. GOOD LUCK🙏🏻👍🏻
