When I was younger, I used to sit in my parent's living room with my tape recorder, waiting for this song to come on the radio so I could record it. There was no direct connection so I also had to pray that there wasn't too much noise in the house and that the DJ wouldn't talk too much over the song. Today, I can tell my car to 'play Gary Numan Cars' and the song starts. I hope you enjoy this instrumental cover of one of my all-time favorite songs.

Gary is the reason I saved to buy my 1st mini moog when I was a junior in HS back in 1980. I now go see him in concert every chance I get when he tours in SoCal. I went to see him years ago in Pomona, and I've already bought tixs to his August show in Pomona. I'm so stoked. His music is mesmerizing. I guess you can say he's my mentor...

I was especially surprised by the yamaha reface on the right, that lead sound in the end was great. I think there are many synths that can do the bassline, thanks

Bravo! Great job. Loved the end when you had to harmonize with your right hand. I too laid awake at night listening to the radio waiting for this song to come on. 1979 was an interesting period in rock/pop music.

couple of questions for you dude... you left a comment on my Behringer umc1820 video ... you said you use the Behringer ad8000 in conjunction with your UMC1820. am I correct in saying this equates to a total of 12 stereo inputs? secondly, i believe you record onto an iPad what is your recording method? lastly, could you do a vid showing your routing setup for all your synths? I'm looking to expand my current set up and your system intrigues me. Nice one

The ADA8000 adds 8 mono pre-amped ins/outs. These days I record the audio/video directly into a Zoom q2n camera. The audio is the output of the UMC1820. The synths are all MIDI chained and connected to the UMC/ADA for audio. I use AUM as the virtual mixer. I'll think about making a walkthrough video. Thanks for the suggestion and support! Peace \/.
