I'm into all genres of music but gary Is hands down my favorite musician of all time, he is an incredible performer who can mesmerize you to the depths of another dimension
Still such a favourite - not just Gary but the whole band. Paul Gardiner's bass is just beautiful and the viola (Chris Payne I think?) is so perfect for the song aswell. Some of my favourite lyrics of Gary's too. :-)
saw Gary on the 1979 Tour at the Manchester Apollo and still to this day this is my favourite song from the gig and from the pleasure principle album. going to London to see the Pleasure principle gig in October, can't wait.
@@jucurtis23 Absolutely agree with you about the last bit of the studio version, the way the synthesisers get louder and louder as Gary's voice fades out. Brings tears of joy to my eyes to hear such brilliant musicianship, even after all these years I still can't believe Gary wrote this Pleasure Principle album. Easily my all time favourite Numan album, way ahead of it's time.
I agree!! Great tune! Videos like this bring back so many cool memories for me. Maaan, I want to go back to the good ol' days. :) Thanks for the send, Numa.66! excellent video:) ***** 64m >:-)
They have found the original masters for The Touring Principle '79 (the full show)and Micromusic (with extra camera angles). Micromusic is due out soon, I reckon TTP will follow not too far behind.
@paintedship What is it with everybody these days? I was 12 when this was filmed and I was there. I am a collector of all film formats and I purchased the masters from Brian Cornhill who owned all the video rights to Gary Numan Material. If you are genuine fan contact Tony Webb Garys dad who has licensed these from me for 5 years. Believe what you want my friend + the reason it has took so long to get them released is that no company would market them because there is no money in Numan.
Hi, This is one of my favourite ever gigs and I wondered if you know why the full concert was never actually released? Tracks like Cars, Airlane, Bombers and Dream police were not included in the live video/Dvd but were on the audio release? Thank you!
@BULLETPROOFGONG judging by your comment though you made it sound like it was NEVER coming out in a million years and then bam there it is within a few months which just doesn't make sense- if there is no money to make why is it even on dvd? Why does it even have to be about money always? This kind of attitude is what leaves great things unreleased. Plenty of things are released for a "niche" market and they do sell. This should be out there because it's good first and foremost.
@BULLETPROOFGONG just pretty funny to see your comment "I can assure you it will never be released on dvd" and it is just within less than a year. I'm not sure I believe you own the masters though- what would you be like 12 when this was filmed? Sounds a bit fishy to me unless that is you had bought them from someone which wouldn't really make sense either.
I own the masters of this concert and I can assure you this will not be released on DVD as I cannot agree distribution deal. The cost is high and demand to low.
@lovehoney3 I know at his age these days Gary needs to go back to that look and get all suited and booted, I mean it worked for Nick Cave and Blixa Bargeld didn't it? He needs to stop dressing like the goth kid from school. Sorry but yeah....
