Fan made video for a cover version of gary numans metal with the daleks. The cover of the song is by steve blacker, its a great cover in my opinion. Hope you numanoids enjoy.
It's a shame there's people that'll never experience or like either Gary or the Dr. Tom Baker my favorite long ago, and the Daleks always had a powerful presence on the show. This bad ass this mash up gives an even more profound impact to their dark destructive plans. Thanks for sharing!!
I've clicked through so many videos, through so many incredible, weird ambient landscapes.. I feel like I'm going on a train trip, seeing a succession of crazy, never-before-seen scenes from history, important, weird musics through the window as I pass... there's so much to explore. So many places to alight and dwell in the ambiences that are on offer. This stop, in particular is brilliant !
When I listen to his early stuff, I am constantly amazed at the quality of the work, the arrangements, the layering of sounds, the incidental motifs. He got nothing but flack for it in the UK MSM and music press back in th day. Great cover BTW.
god I love this cover so much and it maddens and disappoints me greatly it's not on spotify, or anywhere else on youtube besides this one dalek fan video. I dont even like the original haha
Hi, this is my cover version of Metal. Thanks - glad you like it. And here is a link to the downloadable version on my Soundcloud: soundcloud.com/steveblacker/metal-gary-numan-cover
As the Daleks are my favourite Dr Who enemy, this song was absolutely perfect to go along with the amazing video above. 3:28 is not long enough....wanted more!! lol XD It gets a huge thumbs up from me :)
Imagine a cyborg face , with no expression . This song and video blinks onto a cracked screen nearby . A tear runs down the unfeeling cyborg face , that is how i feel .
FLIPPING AWESOME!! I love it! Too bad the Daleks can't dance better.... I wonder if Android Pie made the Dal go psycho? Perfect adjunct, Gary Numan and the Daleks, two icons of British culture. Excellent.
Youre not wrong but the live stage one with NIN & himself is worth a watch if you want a gander - search this "NIN: "Metal" with Gary Numan, London 7.15.09"
Well done! Dr. Who never really became a part of the pop culture here in the US, so this will probably go over the heads of some Americans. A cool concept and good cover regardless.
Still sounds good even with the daleks should appeal to both set of fans .if played on tv it would appeal to children as well as a sure number 1 in the making . It might need some more adjustment to it but I like it .
Who would think a confederate flag waiver would like this music. Good for you. The war is over and you lost. Nothing wrong with remembering the sacrifices on both sides.
