I always got the impression he felt a pressure to change his look and music style. Perhaps it was the unfair comparisons with Bowie's journey back in the day. The hammering he took from the press in the 80's can't have helped ( I remember the hatchet job that was the review of Telekon in NME!) I think he credited is wife with his decision to play to his strengths. Thank goodness!

i love to see this live as there is Some B sides That should Come out the archive live and this is one of Along side music for Chameleons should have been a AA Side as well
@@TheTelekon Yeah just noticed the ident in the corner of the screen. I’m sure I did see him live on in bed with me dinner (Bob Mills) but can’t remember which track it was now. Hope you’re all good sir.
@@TheTelekon Yes, I was hoping to see more of Gemma chatting about it all. She was/is the force behind him, she’s so down to earth and when she was helping him in the dressing room with his panic attack… you could see what it all meant to both of them. Great documentary though.
