Gary Oak should have gone to Hoenn. So I made a game where he does! Oh, and its a hardcore Nuzlocke, because why not?
Since he didn't I needed to make a game showing what his Hoenn Journey could have looked like. Basically, I modified Pokémon Emerald to play through it as Gary, and will only get the Pokémon he did during his Journey. Lets see if he's strong enough to win the Lilly of the valley conference!

Agreed. It’s ok that ash got other rivals in the following regions, but it would have been cool if Gary showed up a bit more

Gary as a main character is just awesome. Infact, I'd not complain if he had his own episodes, as he's interesting enough to have some. Gary could easily become World Champion. Edit: Your sprite rework is awesome!

Splendid Work Mr. Joe!! Epic Work doing such a magnificent job bringing Gary into the game and Ash being such a dum dum (like the anime!) Epic Vintage Music add whilst fighting Steven at the end! Also Very Nice Touches adding fully evolved pokemon for the Gym Leaders! Epic Work!

I think swapping ash with wally instead of may would've been better so you can show that newbie how to catch pokemon in the wild. That would've made sense because ash rarely catches something and rather makes societies rejects tag along (like pauls chimchar) or throws balls out of desperation (tauros)

Yeah he basically never catches anything. Playing through as people like Gary and Paul who actually catch a variety of Pokémon, it shows how much better they are

10:09 now i may not remember HOW pikachu got supercharged but Ash did NOT cheat and im pretty sure Watson was actually IMPRESSED not DEPRESSED by it but also an electric move one-shotting a steel/electric type was very anime-logic of it damn the Ash shade is more real then i recall last time i watched this channel

So it got supercharged by iron tailing a mechanical raiku in wattsons gym. After his loss, wattson was totally down because he didn’t understand why he lost so poorly. Technically ash didn’t cheat, but Gary wouldn’t see it that way

Good question. No, in the anime Gary oak does not have a sister. Daisy is blues sister though, and in the electric tale of pikachu she is his sister.
