can i get this game on Steam? And just an FYI tape on the door switch often gets left behind and is a poor practice since it's there for safety reasons. Better to spend a couple dollars on a clamp, cut one side of the clamp down a little to allow a longer side to hold the door switch down. Plus it looks more professional when you have a customer watching over your shoulder, and creates less waste to pick up when your done.

You will get 24 volts for only about 4 SECONDS until the board reads no flame and stops sending power to the gas valve. You have to connect your meter before starting the furnace up, because you are going to have only four seconds of power to the valve with no flame. Once the ignitor cools down, you will have zero voltage at the valve.

Darryl Edington what if I have constant voltage at the indicator and the flame is not on. 28 volts on mine. But its constant. The thing Im not getting is the gas pushed through enough to keep the pilot on. Which is controlled by a shut off solonoid swith below the black push button. That alone can cause the furnace to not work.

I am getting 15v at all times. When the valve is commanded to open I am getting 24v. The valve is not opening and the furnace shuts down. Any ideas? Control board?

@@markfothebeast look at the back of the control board to see if there are burn marks --- brown/blackish areas on the back of the PC board. usually , this is the indicator for a faulty computer controller board but not always.
@markfothebeast
@markfothebeast 5 лет назад
@@harpoon_bakery162 There were no physical burn marks or obviously damaged components. I ordered a new board and everything is now working fine.

@@markfothebeast I'm getting 15v at all times as well, I get 28v when it gets powered on by the board (around 5 seconds) and around .1 -.2 amps when using an amp clamp. I was thinking it is the gas valve but I'm not sure now. Would I see a voltage drop when probing the wires connected? Ohms reads around 800 ohms from one side and when switching pins around 600 ohms.

what if the coil is good does that mean it's a mechanical problem? If yes how do you determine that?
@hvac01453
@hvac01453 7 лет назад
you skipped a troubleshooting step. Just because you have 24V at the gas valve and it doesn't light, does not prove you have no gas to light. You must verify that gas has failed to flow by installing your gas meter or manometer on the gas valve or manifold tap to prove the valve bad.

I was wondering when that or checking supply was coming in.

So glad you said this Sir! If you check inlet pressure at the valve you can rule out a bad 325 regulator. If you see static but no working press swap out that valve. If static then nothing REG!

I have an intermittent problem as well.. it doesn't always light, I always get 24 volts to the valve.. but it seems that sometimes later than other times.. I'm thinking that the gas valve gets power but so late that the system itself shuts down the valve quickly.. maybe too quickly.. So the late start on the power means that it energizes the solenoid for only a second.. the valve really doesn't turn on before the voltage is cut. sometimes the igniter is red 40 seconds before the relay gives power sometimes it's right away within a couple seconds.. I am unsure why there would be such an inconsistency as to when the relay will open the valve.
@majorflewellyn1133
@majorflewellyn1133 5 лет назад
@Trent Gustus I have the same problem. The ignitor lights and goes out, then the gas clicks on and gas is released. I know gas is released because I placed a flame in front off the burners and they all ignited and began to heat the system. What did you do to correct the intermittent issue?
@TrentGustus
@TrentGustus 5 лет назад
@@majorflewellyn1133 I had a furnace guy come and put a new gas regulator on.. problem solved.. it was working but intermittently.. Cost about $300 for the repair inc labor, all good
@theehardcoreone

Trent Gustus is the gas regulator inside the actual gas valve?
@TrentGustus
@TrentGustus 5 лет назад
@@theehardcoreone Its one and the same unit I believe yes, there's a solenoid to turn the gas on.. and the unit regulates the amount of gas flow as well

What if the IFC is sending 2.4 volts to the valve and only 55 to 63 millivolts to valve?
@InterplayLearning
@InterplayLearning 3 года назад
Check connections, then replace IFC. I'm assuming the inducer is running and the pressure switch is closed. Without the pressure switch closing, there will be no ignition trial.

Does the price of repair is just an example cost or generally cost across the board?

Please what does infinity resistance mean? what should it read? thank you?
@InterplayLearning
@InterplayLearning 4 года назад
Infinite resistance means there is no continuity through a circuit or component. There is no path for electron/ current flow. Measuring an open circuit would give you no measurable resistance reading and would be considered infinite resistance. If you placed an ohmmeter across the terminals of a good and closed switch you should have a measurable low resistance like less than 1 ohm. If you open the switch your ohmmeter would not respond or show any ohm reading and the lack of a measurable reading would be infinite resistance. Most ohm meters would show O.L. which stands for Open Line. If you are using an anolog meter, on one end of the numerical display scale would show 0 (zero) ohms which is low resistance and high continuity. Then the scale goes up to higher resistances (10,100,1000,10000 millions of ohms then into ranges not measurable for most ohm meters (infinite/ no continuity or too high to be measurable with your instrument) I hope this helped. Happy Monday!
