I love these old pumps.. i don't have any visible pumps but i do have a old Electric Calculating Gas Pump.. its a 1950 Gilbarco 996... i restored it from Scrap to Glory... i have a fee videos on it here on RU-vid...
The numbers in the cylinder are reversed. So the customers can immediately read how many gallons had been put into their vehicle tank. This type of pump is still used in the rural areas of developing countries. The minor difference is the filling pump is usually a hand cranked rotary pump, and the pump itself is usually not permanently fixed on the ground, as it usually draws fuel from oil drums not fixed storage tanks...
Do you have a fuel tank underground, or is the pump plumbed to an above ground fuel barrel? Either way it's cool to see one of these actually being used. There's not too many videos of them working anymore.
