Derek shows us in this final part of gas safety controls how zero governor gas valves work, how a gas meter is controlled and finally how thermistors and high limit stats work and how to test them.
Hello Derek. I passed my acs today can't thank you enough for all your videos and info you share. Your videos work magic and you make people's dreams come true mate👍👍keep the good work all the best and I hope to meet you one day as I'm based in Denton, Manchester. Bless you Sir!!!
Watched all of the control videos and they have been very useful. Got my first ACS soon and these have been by far a better explanation than any training I've received. The use of the deconstructed appliances is brilliant. If only my practical training had been this good. Thanks Derek 👍
Love these training videos. I've been out of the trade a few years and will be sitting my ACS in a few months so it's brilliant for refreshing the brain cells and also learning new things as well. I much appreciate the effort and time you have put in to making these videos. Cheers guys !
Appreciate your videos a lot mate, you’re a great teacher. I’m doing the ACS in the next few months and your videos are making it so much easier for me to understand how everything works. Thanks for all your hard work mate! 👍🏼👍🏼
Hello Derek, great videos am absorbing so much knowledge from all of your videos so far, would you be able to do a video of a cross-section of a zero guvenor and meter governor to show us how exactly they work inside? keep up the great work!!
Absolutely amazing. Start to end. So many controls so much to learn. I won’t worry though as I have access to your videos. Question time 😬 Can we put just a lock on the ECV if we wanted or does that have to be cadent too? (Sorry in advance if this next question is stupid) Why is the regulator income pressure on a low pressure 75mb / 2bar when the regulator has to then regulate it down to 19-28mb? Just learnt after watching this video that working pressure at the meter, if it’s not 21 plus/minus 2 the regulator is wrong. Not the pipe sizing. However, if the working pressure at the appliance is more than 1mb difference then that at the meter, that’s when it’s related to incorrect pipe sizing. Now I know a bit more about zero governors! Thanks for showing us a medium pressure regulator and how it can be identified (with the upso valve) Don’t think I’ve heard or come across a thermistor before. Dry pocket and wet pocket. Wow! Thanks Derek 👍🏻 Asian Jon. Training
Hello Derek. Thanks you for your video and passing your knowledge 💪💪 Got a question 🙋♂️ Don’t know if am just being stupid Doing let-by on a zero governor gas valve I find that the gas pressure goes up when I isolate it from the boiler. Using p1. Or how to properly check if the gas valve is letting by as sometime the spring might not sit all the way
Great little series on gas controls. It would be good to see a video on a meduim operating pressure meter showing the let by and regulator let by tests (no offence intended to a certain female gas trainer on RU-vid) 😜
