Great video!!! That's the 1st video I've ever seen of a gar caught on a crankbait! Amazing he didnt break free. It must have been due to very sharp hooks and a good hook set. I really don't care much about the brand of rod. I've got some cheapies and some more expensive rods, and I just use them for what I need them to do.
I just picked up a Pacifun alijoz LH reel. I am RH and always wondered why bait casters had RH people fishing backwards from a spinner. This is second reel I bought LH to try. Hitting water tomorrow. (Ocean) its early water temps still low 50's.
