Sad to see these good mobile suits get wrecked every time, I prefer to think that the Windam was a beast off-screen. God I wish seed destiny was better.
the problem in seed and destiny is that every grunt pilot is a toddler fighting an adult in a game of chess. like of all the people on the globe not one or two or heck maybe even twenty can keep up with the protagonist and give them a good fight for a couple of episodes before being either out played or out numbered.
Ah the Pseudo Gundams that should have been really amazing at what they do...But were once again shown as under preforming because 'muh mono-eyes and plot armor'.
What I learned from this compilation: What an utterly useless shield! It's never where it needs to be! If the Alliance told the engineers who designed it that this is how the pilots use their machines, they would've scratched their heads until they go bald. And maybe someone would've had enough and use all that shield armor to make a patched up version of Windam with a fat belly made up of all the resources they used on that shield. And maybe dual wield guns with that free hand. Then maybe they'll survive the smaller shots. The bigger shots? Same ending.
Nah, when the focus shifted to the seed messiah, those discount zeon also drops like flies. discount zeta plus also suddenly become much more competent.
Cool design but unfortuately outdated by the time of the 2nd Alliance-PLANT war. It is just as capable as the Strike, in a time where the enemy counterpart the Zaku Warrior was superior to the Strike. The only saving grace is that it can fly, but even then ZAFT still has buttload of Guul and not to mention the air superiority BABI.
The Windams should have been more than capable of keeping up with the Impulse,much less Rey's and Luna's Zakus.This just proves how bad Seed Destiny's writing is, they wasted such a good and awesome looking design.Good video as always though,Federation MS,thank you for finding almost every second of the Windam's screen time.(I dont even remember some of these)
Most people just mindlessly hate on Seed on the internet because they've honestly got nothing better to do than go with what the crowd says. In nearly every Gundam AU grunt MS with unnamed pilots get destroyed like no one's business because they aren't important to the plot. Shinn is a coordinator, in an elite section of ZAFT, and is equipped with the Impulse, which is far superior in terms of technology compared to a watered down mass production MS.
I honestly kind of agree with you,but I am not just mindlessly hating Seed Destiny.There are a lot of things wrong with Seed and another thing is that the Windam should have been able to at the very least put up a fight against Shinn's Impulse.The Windam wasn't just your run-of-the mill water down mass production MS,it was supposed to be the pinnacle of the EA's GAT Series.
@@Gernsbacker No I just did not like how any of the characters looked like and the story was not it, It just was not a fun watch. Like plot armor was stupid insane even compared to other gundam series yk.
@@Dr.pp4256 The way that the characters are drawn have nothing to do with the actual quality of the writing and whether you like it or not is completely subjective, not to mention the fact it's not even relevant to the overall discussion. No one denies several characters in both GS and GSD should've died in several situations where it would be impossible to escape from. But my issue here is that people bash on Seed for this when several other anime have this and overlook it. Look at the cases of IBO's plot armor and the Gundam fandom doesn't bash on IBO for it. There's no way that Gaelio could've survived the events of S1 when his cockpit was penetrated. Mikazuki somehow managed to survive several Dainsleifs launched at him from Mar's orbit when the impact of objects that large are more enough to wipe out a city through kinetic energy alone. Rau and Durandal were actual villains with fleshed out complex motivations and provided insight into GS/GSD's theme of genetic engineering and the implications it would have for humanity. Not many shows have a theme that good.
Ah yes one of the, if not THE, most disrespected mobile suits in the entire Gundam multiverse -_- It was supposed to be the pinnacle of EA's MS technology: with all the lessons they learned in their past designs all rolled into one MS. Instead... they turned into flying bulleyes. Heck the GAT01 - Strike Dagger scored more kills and actually had a bigger impact to the war than these clunkers! I will rephrase another YTber's comment about they: These mobile suits suffer from "Make-the-MC-look-good" syndrome... since their screen time was all spent into making the enemies their fighting (the MCs) look better than they actually are -_- Those 2 Windams that get shot down by a single boomerang throw always irritated me. You can see the slow-ass boomerang heading your way and you dont even ATTEMPT to move out of the way. At least with Forbidden and it's Hraesvelger Cannon, there's still the argument that it was too and it's movement was too unpredictable to dodge by a regular pilot... but the boomerang...?
Earth Alliance should just went with the Dagger L as those unit can equip the OG striker packs while the Windam can't due to their shoulder design. Windam only has access to three Striker packs and one of them is only useful for full scale wipe out operation instead of actual combat. Jet Striker pack give them the ability to fly on Earth plus it also gives them missiles, but useless in space while the OG Aile Striker pack can be use in both Earth and Space. Doppelhorn Striker pack is only useful for long ranger engagement nothing else. The multi-striker pack can only be use it space as the weight of the Striker pack well make the Windam less nimble plus it also prevent them from flying. In my opinion the Windam should never being developed as it has less equipment option compare to the Dagger L. The Earth Alliance would have save a lot of money if they just went with the Dagger L and the original Striker packs instead of developing the Windam as they made three new striker pack just to go with the Windam.
What's the point of all those ships and windhams. Just make a few superior Gundam types. Think of all those resources you'd save instead of hundreds of useless one shot Windhams and naval ships.
