This is why I play as the Gaurdsmen. All of what the Chaos Marine said, followed by the Primaris' response ending in what basically means: "You right, so what's your excuse?" Shivers.
@@midgetydeathtrue. I'd say the two best "you see that thing on the other side of the warzone? I don't want to" armies are the guard and the Tau. Honestly, I'm surprised the Tau and Imperium haven't pushed for a more permanent alliance. They are surprisingly similar in a lot of ways (albeit the Tau are "brave new world" dystopic, while the imperium is "1984" dystopic, but still), and frankly are the last two groups you'd think would be fighting eachother in that cesspit of a galaxy.
Yes...imperial guardmen does hold the line for ten thousand year but they only last under 15 hour after deployment into battlefield...May the emperor bless their soul
Now for a fun math problem divide 10,000 years by 15 hours and then times that number by roughly 100 regiments per imperial world where 1 standard infantry regiment equals roughly 10 companies whom equal roughly 10-12 platoons whom again equal roughly 10-12 squads made up of roughly 10 guardsmen and you more or less have the sum number of regular ass humans that have died in the last 10,000 years prior to the 41st millenium give or take the fact that regiments are not standardized and could have anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 or more men with enormously different equipment dependent on the world they were recruited from.
That's actually not true, that stat was pulled from one particularly gruesome battle in a book. The book is actually literally titled '15 hours', following a guardsman deployed to a city where the on going war with the orks is *so* horrifying that reenforcements are expected to survive only 15 hours.
Soldier: For the emperor. Cpt. Andrej: "No... He sits happy on his golden throne, far away... This is for you, and this is for me, and that is good enough."
I love the guardsmen because in a galaxy that has super soldiers, robotic aliens, aliens with advanced weapons and armor, aliens that are pretty much gods, they hold the line for as long as they can and even in the face of death they fight for all they love behind them. That is what I love about warhammer 40K
Me realizing that the ultramarine was just waiting there to make a speech and didn’t actually try to save the guardsmen: robutee your son is about to die
Love to see the girls reacting to this! Now I want them to see the Karl Franz trailer for Warhammer Fantasy. I'm sure the GATE girls would love to see something closer to home. Or heck, the Brettonia trailer for a more "knightly" trailer.
The space marine is kinda like the student who fights back the one bully and he just punches him in the face couple of times just to make him weak and making him get embarrassed by the other students and where the teacher can’t do anything at all.
.....now this has inspired not just me to work hard but to make sure all weapons are working better then all. Praise the emperor and praise the omnissiah!
I've seen allot of different reaction video formats but this one is so cute, I love how you depict different characters like the ones from Gate reacting to different franchises and universes. Pretty creative and amusing 🙂
I think the only way the video could have been better was that, in his final moments, the guardsman managed to muster enough strength to put one last lasgun round (or bayonet) into the head of that chaos space marine, thus having the chaos space marine being killed by the "weak sack of flesh" that he mocked so readily.
I'd like to think when the muzzle of the bolter met the chaos marine's face he for a brief moment remembered fighting alongside the men of the guard, the bravery of men against impossible foes.
Ten thousand years, They held, for ten Thousand they mocked Chaos and held them back, They never falter even against Such odds, no matter the cost they will achieve victory or die trying for the emperor and for the ones they love
there are many gods in that world but those they refer too as the ruinous powers of chaos are: Khorn god of blood, skulls violence, and war. Nurgle god of death, disease, rot, acceptance, and stagnation. Stzeench the god of magic, betrayal, scheming, and fate. And Slaanesh god/goddess of excess, dark pleasures, sex, revelry, pain, torture and art. They are the extreme personifications of human experience given form.
4:25 How many gods exist in their universe? So to put it to count we have: (Imperium of Man) God Emperor of Mankind Omnissiah (Chaos Gods) Khorne Nurgle Tzeentch Slaanesh Malice (Aeldari Pantheon) Kela Mensha Khaine Isha Ynnead Cegorach (Orks) Gork and Mork (C'tan/Star Gods) Llandu'gor the Flayer Mephret'an the Deceiver Mag'ladroth the Void Dragon Aza'gorod the Nightbringer Tsara'noga the Outsider Zarhulash the Potentate
Born in the cold wastelands of a one paradise world, training, equipped with my uniform, a gas mask, a helmet, my bayonet and my lasgun. I'm not farmer, nor miner or a worker. I'm a soldier, born as a soldier and grown as one, fearless I go with my brothers and sisters too the most dangerous and apocalyptical battlefronts in order to make sure that our line is still as thought as our faith and determination. I am a death korp of krieg, I am here to die and nothing else, in life my duty is to fight until evry part of my body has stopped moving, only in dead I will join with my emperor to the eternal rest. I FIGHT FOR THE IMPERIUM!!! I FIGHT FOR THE EMPEROR!!! I FIGHT FOR MANDKIND!!! MY LIFE MEANS NOTHING COMPARING TO MY IMPERIAL DUTY FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally I like Pity the Guardsman for the speech. But I prefer Only in Death for the animation and subtext. Pity the Guardsman says a powerful message in a bellicose manner with a lot of words. Only in Death says a lot with very few words.
'You never gut costs for your soldier." I hate to break it to you, but that is kind of a necessity to some extent. Giving ALL your soldiers the absolute best equipment limits how many you can field, and war is usually won with quantity. There are middle grounds to be had of course, and mixing expensive and cheap assets can be extremely effective. Not to mention that the Imperium could have allies to reduce losses if they were better.
God I love warhammer 40k just because I watch two from theRussianbadger and some from rimmy how make op’s of 40k in arma 3 but will have some unexpected things that happens
"how many gods exist in this universe" *inhales* Humanity: The God-Emperor of mankind Orks: Gork and Mork Chaos: Khorn, Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaneesh Eldar, Dark Eldar and Exodites: Asuryan , Gia, Cegorach, Kaela Mensha Khaine, Kurnous, Morai-Heg, Vaul, Ynnead Necrons: Aza'gorod, Mephet’ran, Mag'ladroth, Nyadra'zatha, Tsara'noga, N'phoran, Yggra'nya, and those are the important ones and most of the eldar gods got caput
Most be Like; "The Space Marine as Kewl", "Sphess Marines are Badass!" And all that Jazz... But we Gotta be Real Here... The True MVP of the Emperor is the Imperial Guard and its Numerous upon Numerous Rank and File Guards, they Fight where they're Needed to Fight, they Battle World Conquering Xenos and Reality Bending Daemons, and It Takes alot of Balls, Large Adamantine Balls to do Those things as a Mere Human in the Guard with a Life Expectancy of only a Few Hours, at least a Few Days Max. Theres a Reason why they're Called the Hammer of the Imperium/Emperor, cuz They will Smash Through you Lines with Unrelenting and Insurmountable Force! The Emperor Protects! And The Guard will show you that its more than True!
