First of all 'Thank u' Amit vai for making this video for us. I'm preparing for gate 2021 and I am confused about which book will be best book for 'Strength of material'.You have already mentioned 'Gere & Goodno' is very good book for conceptual purpose.But few people have told me that these books are also good-'Mechanics of materials' by Gere & Timoshenko, 'Strength of material' by Stephen Timoshenko(U can see these books in Amazon).So which one will be the best among these 3 books for Conceptual purpose.Plz plz give me ur opinion.Thank u again.

Purandar Roy only difference in mechanic of materials and strength of materials is that former is in imperial units and latter being an indian edition has metric units.

If thinking from logical point , you have to read 1 book every month.so 12 month 12 books. Also you have to revise 12 books also. That sucks.using this getting rank in year seems impossible ..

Hi sir, I got all the books except for the Fluid mechanics and Heat transfer. in Amazon there are two books for heat transfer under incopera, which one I need to buy ? in Amazon for fluid mechanics old edition only available, Shall I proceed with this or shall I buy updated version outside market ? . and also sir while you are showing the books I am not able to see the complete book in the video means some time author name was written down corner. one more problem is that in the description you have listed the names of the books in general but to buy a book complete book name is required. If you give link from where to buy it will be great helpful sir. or just complete book name with author. Amit sir suggested good standard books for aspirants like us. we Appreciated your valuable time for us to help in a better way. Thanks
