Gates of the Arctic National Park 

There are over 60 national parks, now. It's interesting to see how popular some are compared to others. They are all a chance to see beauty in nature.

Yellowstone is a bit cheaper to get to. A household like mine would quake at the thought of simply crossing the Canadian border, but Wyoming is just a hop and a skip away.

@@juginstin yeah lol you probably have to charter a flight out to gates of the arctic just to get there, and that's after you've already gotten to inhabited alaska. Plus you'd be entirely alone while you were there aside from your flight guy.

The only proper way to explore Alaska in general is to drive a 4x4 or a camper. Rentals are expensive, the only other option if you're visiting is to drive all the way from Continental USA into Canada and eventually into Alaska. Gate of the Arctic is so remote that people get lost there all the time. Most of the park is inaccessible.
