Canoes and paddles come in an amazing number of different designs, sizes, and materials. Trying to figure out which canoes and paddles fit how you want to paddle can be a challenge (to say the least), especially since any group of three paddlers is likely to have four opinions about which combination is best.
This video captures a "Gather at White Rose Canoe" session where we used canoes and paddles in the shop to illustrate the key differences between types, share info on how designs are “tuned” for different kinds of water and paddling and why they work. We identified some of the key things to consider when matching boats and paddles to your “paddling profile” and answered questions from participants as we went along.
