Lil ol' Clemson trying ro claw our way back up to the top of the mountain. This is but just a small step in that direction

I thought the UK players did a good job with their little dances they did after every play. You could tell they put some thought into it.

Kentucky did so many good things in this Gator Bowl. It got a rushing, receiving and kick return touchdown from the spectacular Barion Brown. It sacked the Clemson quarterback eight times. It held the Tigers to 4.6 yards per play for the game and all of 10 points through the first three quarters. Time and again, it fought back from adversity in a wild fourth quarter. But it also made so many mistakes in this Gator Bowl. Too many mistakes. It turned the ball over on three straight possessions in its own territory in the final frame. And, at the end, up 35-30, it could not find a way to stop the Clemson offense from going 68 yards in 11 plays to score the winning touchdown - Phil Mafah’s 3-yard run for the Tigers’ fourth score of the day - with all of 17 seconds remaining. A third-and-18 from the 50-yard line was the drive’s killer play. Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik had just been called for intentional grounding. There were under 50 seconds left to play. But the Tigers’ signal-caller hit Antonio Williams for a 16-yard completion to set up a fourth-and-2 at the 34. From there, Mafah rushed 5 yards for the first down. Said UK defensive coordinator Brad White afterward, “You can’t let that happen. The Cats did let that happen. And by letting that happen, it was emblematic of a season that ended 7-6. Too many things that the Cats couldn’t let happen, did happen. Turnovers. Penalties. Missed blocks. Missed assignments. Missed opportunities. Mistakes. The mistakes that separate a win from a loss, that separate a good season from a disappointing one. Faithful followers of Kentucky football already knew that Barion Brown was a star, but the sophomore wide receiver took it to another level on Friday. The Nashville native scored a touchdown just about every way you can score a touchdown, with the possible exception of throwing a pass for a TD. In the first quarter, Brown scored on a 22-yard run to give Kentucky a 7-3 lead. Then to open the second half, Brown returned the Clemson kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown - his third kickoff return touchdown of the season and second in consecutive games - to give the Cats a 14-10 lead. Last but not least, he caught 60-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Devin Leary to give UK a 28-27 lead with 6:12 remaining. Brown ended up with 226 all-purpose yards on the afternoon - 100 for the kickoff return; 26 yards rushing on two attempts and 100 yards receiving on three catch. In the end, Brown was left holding the Kentucky’s most valuable player trophy in a losing cause. Still, it was a stellar performance from a player that, in this day of the transfer portal, Kentucky must hold onto for next season. 🏈🏈🏈

The offense goes through Shipley and Mafah and the running game. Don't try to win it with Klubnick with pass run, but run pass. The most notable win this season was when the offense went through Phil Mafah. Today he averaged 6.5 yards per carry.

Pro tip: just go ahead to the 9:40 mark.

By far one of the most entertaining bowl games I've ever seen and I've been watching these games since the 60's. Incredible football! Congratulations to both teams. Well done!!

If the KY offensive line wasn't trash, they could have won this game. Their pass rush and that special teams TD kept them in the game, but it wasn't enough

What a nail biter ending

As a Clemson fan, I thought we were dead.

For Stoops, this is worse than being blown out. To be up double figures and blow the game with repeated forth-quarter turnovers means Kentucky, and specifically Leary, self-destructed. That's going to make for a very long offseason.

UK dline was sacking Klubnik all day, and the last seconds of the game they have clemson on a 3rd and long and decided to rush 3 prevent defense? Man that was a huge mistake. Ntm the 4 turnovers in the 4 th quarter to give Clemson chance after chance to come back. Was a heck of a game though, but i think UK might be alot better next season than people may think.

B. Brown told that Center Judge after his kickoff return for TD, "Nah, man, this ball is mine. I'm keeping it."

Incredible game from both teams. Defense dominated for most of the game. But both offense showed up at the end.

Horrible defensive calls from Stoops on the last drive. They ran prevent defense, and gave up the same 15 yard out route 3 plays in a row. Now, all of a sudden, Clemson is inside your 5 yard line with plenty of time. Should have been more aggressive.

Vols fan here. Gotta say those UK uni with the silver helmet look great!! Maybe not good to have reflective helmets tho, seems like an unfair advantage if they are blinding the other team??? idk just a thought. I recently had a dream we played Clemson in the CFP for 24 and Clemson got revenge for the 22 Orange Bowl. I hope that's not how it goes IRL. Crazy game here. So entertaining. Seems like we play Clemson every year used to be in the music city bowl but weve come along way as a team. Turnovers killed us this game. Was a nice 1 though instead of those blowouts like alot of bowl games

Our Freshmen DBs were EXPOSED to say it mildly. Shelton Lewis and Avion Terrell have A LOT TO LEARN. They were cooked WELL DONE, the whole game. It reminded me of the 2022 season.

It feels like AU and coach Hugh Freeze have got tons of work to get done in the off-season.

Fantastic game, both teams played with a ton of heart. I'm gonna look for #7 for my fantasy teams, Brown looked like Deebo Samuel out there. Clemson fought to overcome O-line and secondary absences, Kentucky fought to overcome turnovers, both teams put on a show in the fourth but the Tigers had the ball last. Love that we won but Kentucky shouldn't hang their heads after this performance.

Why did they include the punts with fair catches in the highlight reel, but not the 4th down conversions or turnovers in the last 7 min of the 4th quarter??
