"Do You Hear What I Hear" is another amazing song done by Hime Free. Tim uses more of his full range going from high to low at one point to in time in just a few seconds. The video is older because Chris Rupp is still in it but I think its my favorite Home Free song.

Yeah, this one was basically done to show you that they can flip all over the place. Rob can go surprisingly low for a tenor, as can Austin, and Adam Rupp (The drummer) can sing really high, and really low when he does sing. Not to mention of course the awesomeness that is Tim, and Chance was actually in an a capella group before these guys on the Sing Off, where he was the bass.

Mighty great reaction. Home Free's cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow" is one you should react to. Tim is real bass on this one. Adam (beat box ) with his imitation of a harmonica and Chance (baritone) with his imitation of a mouth harp, and the sound of swamp bull frogs at the beginning and end of the video is amazing. Adam Chance is the "Baritone" of Home Free, but he does Bass for other groups, and you'll see this comment edited when I remember the name lol, but he has a crazy range as well. There are these videos that are bass 'battles' where it basically shows the low end of the range of Tim Foust, Geoff Castellucci, Avi Kaplan, Adam Chance, and Matt from Pentatonix. Adam hangs with all of them, most of the way down. All of them are insanely talented, but Tim is the only one I've heard who breaks speakers during shows. They did a cover of Honey I'm Good and it's amazing if you want to give it a listen. Not even for the video, just for the sake of hearing it. I'd recommend the live version. I think the video is called Tim's Vibration or something cause his bass shakes the flippin camera. It's great.

Adam Chance, Home Free's baritone, used to sing bass with his previous group, and still sings the bassline when Tim feels like singing words. I'd love to hear more Home Free from you - try I Can't Outrun You or for a recent song, Down to the Honkytonk, for more of Chance's lead. Or if you'd like to try a different acapella group, his previous group was called Street Corner Symphony and they came second in season two of the Sing-Off, before Pentatonix and Home Free. I love their versions of Uptown Funk and Stay With Me, or for something completely different I Believe In A Thing Called Love.

Lol! Your reaction at the start when you realized Tim is singing tenor lead and someone is STILL doing the bass, was too cool! I had the same thought the first time I saw this video. That bass is Adam Chance (they call him Chance, because they already have Adam Rupp the beat-boxer who they call Adam). If you want to hear some of his range, first look at their cover of "I Can't Outrun You." Chance sings the lead and it's in a baritone range. Then look at their cover of "Can't Stop the Feeling." He imitates a guitar in parts but there's a part (repeated a few times) where they do an ascending chord singing just imagine, just imagine, just imagine. Chance sings the upper tenor part on the 3rd 'just imagine' in the phrase and it's so much higher than his lower notes. He has a good 4 plus octave range like Tim, just pitched a little higher.

Just found your reaction, I watched through it and then subscribed. Full on Home Fry here, went down that rabbit hole after my sister introduced me to their Sea Shanty Medley. I love watching Reactions to ALL their songs, but when it comes to Mayday I'm actually pretty critical. You can ALWAYS tell when someone does this song before getting to know the group very well. This song is one that has to be done after the Reactor is familiar with what ranges they normally sing -- because that's when you have the jaw-dropping moments in THIS song. Just like reactions to Guilty Pleasures Derailed .... If you don't let it play for long before trying to critique it, you ruin the surprise. It's hilarious -- if you AREN'T trying to critique their song choices, or their singing style, or the beatboxing -- the things you would NORMALLY be doing with a song. It's called 'Derailed' for a REASON, LOL. As one commentor said (after realizing what was going on and stopping the critiquing) ... they 'broke' him. Yep, it'll do that to you, lol .... For hilarious songs TO critique, try Butts Medley, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget (best followed by Full of Cheer), Hillbilly Bone, etc. People are Home Fries for a reason -- I still haven't found even ONE song that I didn't like. They can do it all -- funny, serious, soulful, gospel, whatever. Different styles, different genres, different keys. Enjoy! :)

If you listen to a live version of this, the only difference is a bit of layering on the studio track here. And the quality of the phone used to record... LOL Try their original Catch Me if You Can.
