The Inferno lens would also be great if your riding later in the day into the night, you would not have to stop to switch glasses when it got dark. Great review and awesome sunglasses..
I bought the Gatorz with Inferno lenses. I was quite disappointed. As the guy in the video, I thought they would get dark like the other sunglasses. They didn't. In fact, they didn't get very dark at all. It's barely noticeable. They were useless as sunglasses. I was looking for glasses I could wear while riding my motorcycle day or night. They need to be much darker for the day. Other than the worthless Inferno lenses, they were excellent eyewear. I sent them back.
Very nice glasses but can get pretty expensive $200 / plus $275 if you need a prescription in them. Only southern California can do the prescription. It's a specialty lense so you can't go to the local eye doctor.
275 for the basic/cheapest pair u can get. Add polarization photochromic lense etc. I paid about $475 for mine. Only regret was I didnt get the ansi certified safety lense. Although i havent ever been questioned on the jobsite weather or not they are safe to use as a safety lense, if it ever came down to a workmanship comp claim, I could be at risk of being denied the claim, my eyes could be at risk of a permanent injury. Other than that they are expensive, but this is definitely a product that you get what you pay for. I've had several frames with all sorts of styles of lenses and I'll probably never buy another type of glasses again. Oh and when you get the prescription lenses, you are basically buying a pair of sunglasses and a pair of prescription lenses. So when you order them make sure and let them know what lenses you want in the sunglasses. They will ship those new lenses that you can use to replace some scratches up lenses on another pair you've already got , along with your prescription glasses.
I’m comparison to Oakley Gascans, how would you rate the Gators Magnum? I’m a diehard since the early 90s for Oakley’s and find it hard to wear any other glasses. Also I’m sold on polarized since majority of my day is spent outside and driving. Thanks for this video, I’m been researching Gators for awhile now
stewmat30 I rocked the Gascans in my deployment to Iraq back in 2008. These are def diff. You’ll find that these are a hit on the heavier side when you pick them up but when you have them on at least for me and my buddies we don’t feel them anymore. I also like how much more clear the lenses are with these.
I still rock revisions stingerhawk and Ess crossbows. I have a pair of gatorz. The way they wrap around feel comfortable, and the lenses are great. The overall frame is sturdy.
Eu military here, I had ess suppressors for 7 years, finally broke, now thinking of trying of the inferno lenses gatorz magnum, so i could do military ops day and night, but also when riding a motorcycle and going fishing, how would you compare ess vs gatorz? Thx
I changed their polarized lenses with Transitions Gen 8, which are far superior to their Inferno and get much darker. It's an expensive maneouver though....
Any thoughts on the fast metal glasses . I see there made from that same guy that started gatorz. And supposed to be the latest and greatest. They look to be fairly similar. Just wondering if you have got to see them yet.
Are there any of these that you can transition from day into night, blocking the glare of oncoming headlights? I had a different brand that was ridiculously cheap that did black the glare. You could wear them day or night. Thanks for answering my question!
I’ve worn the inferno at night for ops and never had an issue. if you need one pair that you can use day and night that’s gonna be it. save yourself some $
I have a pair of magnums they look sweet af! But only thing is i have a hard time fitting them on my face seems like i always have a gap on my eyebrow area lol 😂 any tips on fixing this issue?
Are the lenses supposed to pop out. Bought mine used dropped them from my countertop and the lens popped out on one side and now it’s like not very sturdy. Any input ?
